In Halloweentown High the third entry in the saga, teenage witch Marnie (Kimberly J. Brown) tries to help a group of kids from Halloweentown fit in at her "normal" high school, only to find herself battling a nefarious knight bent on ridding the world of all magic-users. Joey Zimmerman, Emily Roeske, Judith Hoag, and Debbie Reynolds also star. Then, In the final installment, Return to Halloweentown Marnie gets a full scholarship to the prestigious-and delightfully spooky-Witch University. Attending the school along with her brother Dylan, she soon discovers a plot to destroy Halloweentown involving the Sinister Sisters and a Cromwell family heirloom. Sara Paxton stars. 170 minutes total. Review: Wonderful, and worth the wait - It took awhile to arrive, but finally got here safe and sound. Delightful movies, both of them. It’s a two-disc set. The third film, Halloweentown High, stars the original Marnie, Kimberley J Brown, with a very grownup Joey Zimmerman as brother Dylan. It’s a cute plot with lots of assorted creatures from Halloweentown attending human high school, but not is all as it seems. Debbie Reynolds as Grandma Aggie is fabulous as ever. Aggie does not figure as prominently in Return to Halloweentown but every second of her screen time is delightful and leaves you wanting more. I really enjoyed this fourth and final Halloweentown film more than I thought I would. Marnie is recast and Sara Paxton does a great job and fits right into the family. Joey Z now known as J. Paul Zimmerman returns as Dylan and is featured nicely with much more screen time. Judith Hoag is the mother for all four films and that’s a nice continuity. Sophie, the youngest, is absent but explained as being away studying with Grandma Aggie. It wraps up the series very nicely, I thought. Now with these last two movies, my Halloweentown library is complete and I have all four films to enjoy forever. Review: Clean Halloween movies - Halloween 3 & 4 movies are such clean fun.
