After a year, still loving it!
I received an old LP as a gift from my sister who assumed I had a turntable due to the fact I am a big stereo nut. Many many years ago I tossed my vinyl collection in favor of CD and never looked back. Anyway, so there I was, holding this album with no way to play it. Amazon to the rescue. I looked at and read reviews of a bunch of turntables at a fairly low price point since vinyl was the LAST thing I wanted to invest in. This one stood out as a mostly positive unit. I ordered it. It arrived and right off the bat I was impressed with the way it looked- not cheap like I expected it too. It does not look out of place with my somewhat expensive system. After nearly a year of owning and using this turntable, I am still pleased and can recommend it. One thing you will like is that it has its own preamp so it can be used with any receiver - even ones without a phono jack. You can simply use any other input available. Just make sure to change setting on back. This should make it an excellent choice for those of you with powered speakers. Couple of things that are odd or annoying. All power buttons are on the back where you can't see them (the platter "on" button is on the main table so don't worry). Bluetooth- why? The whole vinyl thing is a retro concept. I can't imagine why anyone would want to go low-fi and use a Bluetooth connection. Well, I tested it and it works. You will be reminded of it's presence by the flashing blue light everytime you turn it on. No auto return. I know this is clearly stated but I didn't realize I would miss this feature. You will be up and down a lot. Be careful when you first get the unit. There is a piece of tape across the stylus cartridge placed there for protection during shipping. Take it off GENTLY so you don't yank the whole cartridge out like I did. The anti-skate set up is a pain in the a** due to kind of vague instructions. Push thru it. Once done you won't have to it again. Other than the minor things above, this is a really decent turntable. I have had zero problems with it honestly, it sounds quite good! With a modern new LP, it can be quite remarkable. I am ashamed to say that I have started buying LP's again. Kinda fun to go into a used record store and browse knowing I can once again play this format!

1BY ONE belt drive turntable
This is one great turntable. Set it up in 15 min. Simple to use, sounds great, No hum or distortion thu speakers, Great bass and clear highs. Tracks great with no skipping even on records that are somewhat wraped. Very well made, very sturdy. Great price for a turntable of this quality. Sounds just as good as my classic B&O turntable. Have it hooked to my Sansui 8900ZDB receiver. Bass will shake the walls. Love the whole system.

This is what I was looking for!
EDIT: Three years (Sept 2025) after the purchase.... I'm still very pleased. Since buying this, my Vinyl collection has grown immensely, and I'm using this turntable nearly daily or a few times a week with ease. I've yet to experience any issue with it. In my original review below, I mentioned that I hadn't tried out the Bluetooth capabilities. Though, I have since and while it's a neat feature to have, but unfortunately you lose sound quality, versus hard wired. I prefer to listen through speakers wired to the turntable. It just sounds so much better. One annoyance is once I paired other speakers/devices through Bluetooth, it tends to connect automatically which is great if that's what you're going to use, but as mentioned, I prefer to listen through the speakers hard wired to the turntable. So sometimes turning off the Bluetooth speaker I paired tends to be difficult and if you leave it on, you hear a delay being Bluetooth delays the sound. If all fails, I just turn the Bluetooth speaker volume down to "0", if it connects beforehand. Otherwise, I'm happy with this and hope to have many more years of enjoyment out of it. I just love the simplistic of it all, and I feel I become more immersed with my music when playing vinyls. Read on for what I previously said of the turntable...... I know there are a lot of audiophiles who may be able to find fault with this turntable, but for me, this unit seems to do the job for me at a reasonable price. Previously, I had bought a Victrola (all in one Unit). While it's nice to look at and has everything one would need to play every format, the turntable was not something to be desired. Many of the records I played, would skip or skate across the record. Also, the turntable just didn't sound so great. You heard every crackle and static on the Victrola. On this turntable, there is no skipping, skating and the sound is clean. One of the main reason I bought this player is because I wanted to play all my records without skips and skating. I'm happy to report that doesn't happen with this turntable. The sound is really clean through my old AIWA Q-Sound speakers I bought 30 years ago. This turntable has Bluetooth capabilities which I haven't taken advantage of along with the possibility of recording my Vinyl to digital. Though, I bought this simply to play my records. I have access to all my music digitally, so that feature isn't a big deal for me. Though it's nice to know that I can possibly record future Vinyls I buy that I don't own digitally. It's also nice to know that I can sync headphones to this unit. I can't speak for the easiness of syncing to this turntable, but after reading multiple reviews of this turntable, most seem to have an overwhelming positive experience in syncing to their headphones. I gave this four stars based on my experience in setting this up. To me, it shouldn't be so difficult to setup. That said; I had some issues with the Anti-skate weight and the belt. First and most importantly, the belt gave me some trouble when setting up. It kept slipping off the pully. As you can guess, without the belt, the turntable is quite useless. I spent nearly an hour fighting with the belt while it kept slipping off. I almost gave up and was ready to return the unit. I tried to adjust the pully without much success. Somehow I was able to adjust the belt from slipping off the pully finally. I really have no idea what I did. It just finally stayed on without slipping. Still, it was quite stressful and for someone who prefers an out of the box, quick set up, my experience was not such. Furthermore, the fishing line for the Anti-Skate was a joke. My fingers aren't that huge, but the knot that was already tied, was too small. I couldn't adjust it. I tried to do my own tie but the fishing line was hard to tie around it, so I eventually gave up. It was disappointing because I bought the unit because, as stated earlier, that I had albums that my Victrola would skip and skate through. Fortunately, after playing a number of my Vinyls that skated and skipped on my Victrola, doesn't skip or skate on this unit. So I'm not sure if the Anti-Skate weight is really necessary? When setting it up, there is a counter weight you attach which I may have conveniently set up correctly that does the job in keeping the needle/arm from skating across any records. Again, I am not a Turntable expert, so I can't really speak for the weight's effectiveness. The other cons that can turn a person off is the fact that this doesn't have an automatic stop/start/return feature. For me, it's not a big deal, but I can understand why someone would prefer for it to stop once it got to the end of the record. For me, I usually play my vinyl, expecting to get up to turn the record over. Still, it would be nice for it to just stop spinning when the record is done. As some have expressed already, the wear and tear on the vinyl and the needle due to lacking this feature, could be a concern. Seems weird to me, in this day and age, this isn't something included on such a turntable. Even my "all in one" Victrola stops when the record is done. All in all, I'd say this is a worthy purchase. It's a great price and the sound it produces is awesome. I was avoiding paying hundreds of dollars for a decent Turntable. And as most know, you usually get what you pay for. I believe I found a turntable that will satisfy my vinyl listening needs. I'm happy with the way it sounds and happy that you can easily plug in and play it with headphones or RCA speaker with no additional pre-amp.

What else can I say apart from brilliant! This product really took me by surprise. It’s unbelievable value for money. First of all, delivery and packaging was great. The product arrived the next morning via PDP that kept me up to date on its whereabouts. The product was well packaged and protected so the product arrived with no damage. After I had unpackaged it I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and finish to the product. For such a reasonably priced product, the look of it definitely looks like a higher priced item. I started by testing a record using the built in speakers and again was very pleasantly surprised. The built in speakers give a great sound quality that is a lot less tinny than I expected. They are also surprisingly loud that easily filled my living room with sound even on half volume. I have uploaded a video of the record player playing through the built in speakers. Using the record player was also very easy. Being a bit of a novice when it comes to record players, it was so simple to operate and if in doubt the instructions are a great guide. I then tried hooking the record player up to my sound bar to see if I could get a better sound quality. Even though the built in speakers are good, hooked up to external speakers really gives the records that needed bass and the sound quality is superb. Great for when you have people over and want to show it off and have a 80’s boogie. I honestly can’t fault the product at all and everyone I have shown it too love it as well as me. A few friends have even gone and bought one themselves. Thank you 1byone. Great product. Great price. Great customer service. Definitely recommend!

I have always wanted a turntable with a USB recording feature but have been put off by the price in shops over the years. Had I not read all of the 5 star reviews of this product, I would not have believed something so reasonably priced could be so good, so here is another 5 star to go with all the others!! Like so many other reviewers have said: Well packaged and comes in its own product box so good to wrap up for a present, arrived on time, easy to use, great little instruction book written in English that is actually correct and understandable, works well on all speeds, additional stylus are cheap and bought some on Amazon. The USB is easy to use - just plug in and use the record button on the front of the unit - start and stop manually for individual tracks or just leave to record one audio file for a whole album etc. Note that you are paying for a basic record turntable and not the speaker quality. It sounds like a portable radio with little base but there is an easy to use audio-out connection for external speakers but base quality is still limited I would really recommend this little gem.. if you want a quality turntable and USB recording feature at a great price, this is it!!
