iTouchless Sensor Trash Can

I bought this product back in 2021 and I LOVE IT!! I was shocked to see that its a frequesmtly returned item I love that it helps keep the bathroom looking clean. The BEST part is that 4 years later, it is STILL working great! The only con that I can think of is the price of the replacement for the trash bag retainer ring, it's a little pricey. I accidently threw it away, so it's not the fault of the product or the manufacturer, but I still wish it cost a little less. Over all the product is GREAT and when my trash can finally does stop working, I WILL BE BUYING A NEW ONE.

I've had one in the kitchen for around 15 years and wanted a very small one to fit in the bathroom. This one is the perfect size. The sensor has a sufficient delay of a couple of seconds and a very close range so you don't accidentally open it and stuff falls in off the counter. That's why I got it. Always paranoid of things falling into an open trash can, and my sweetheart didn't like a step-on-can (it was brushed aluminum, I thought it was great). So, I got this so she can't complain about having to do anything other than put her hand near the sensor and wait a second. You can't place it flush against a wall, because when the lid opens, the lid sticks out further back than the can itself. I put a 3-inch block of foam behind it, so the can doesn't get pushed against the wall. (Took it from a computer box packing). I haven't figured out where to buy the perfect sized bags for it, as I don't like the top edges blooming out and visible. And I don't want to pay high prices for perfectly-sized bags. So, still looking for that. Oh, and like my kitchen iTouchless can (which is on it's second lid - first one wore out the gears after 10 years), the lid seals very well and keeps all odors inside the can. So much so that you'll go weeks and forget to empty it because you're not using it much and never smell anything. Highly recommend this. Also, strongly recommend only the iTouchless brand. Other similar ones are cheap, more plastic parts, and simply won't last years and years like iTouchless. I'm just a happy user who hates "cheap junk". I want things to work perfectly and I don't want them to every wear out. Well, if something lasts 10+ years and the price didn't increase too much when I have to buy it again, I'll accept that.

2023 Update: These 2 trash cans are still going strong after 6 years. We have had to change the batteries once a year on daily use. The stainless is still new looking and no weird discoloration. I am so happy with these little guys. I thought for sure these would fail within a year or two but NOPE! Definitely an excellent buy and product. 2019 Perfect size for a bathroom or laundry room. We’ve had 2 in our bathrooms for over 1 1/2 years and only had to change the batteries once. They work flawlessly and are very sleek. The motion sensor works very well. Only time we had an issue is when a fan was in one of the bathrooms and the toilet paper on the stand type roll holder was waving it kept activating it. It is easy to clean. We purchased the silver 4 gal bags and they fit great. We haven’t used the sniffy thing but I’m sure it’s great too. Wipes down easily. Top comes off, then the liner holder, then the bag - that’s all to it. Very easy and one of the better motion small trash cans I’ve owned. Very happy with this purchase and going strong almost 2 years after purchase and everyday use.

This is a great little guy for the bathroom, but not for small spaces like between the toilet and sink. It has to be out in the open for the automatic mechanism to work. There is an 8" space between my toilet and sink, but it did not work there. I had to put it out in the open rather than discreetly stashed away. The quality is not bad, no odors, and it is easy to install. Batteries or AC adapter, not included.

Love the touchless lid. The design is a bit chunky looking, but no larger than a standard small waste bin. The stainless steel cabinet is good quality. There is a rim under the lid that makes it easy to change bags and tuck the edges inside so they stay nice and tidy.

We loved it due to its touchless lid feature, look and size. BUT, after 3 months or so the lid stopped opening. I performed all of the troubleshooting tips but none resolved the issue. After contacting the company, they stated that the warranty covers sending me a new lid. Great! Except you pay $15 in shipping (which likely covers the actual production cost). We received the new lid and it also worked for a few months until it too stopped opening. So I'm moving on and using this as a lidless trash can for paper. Note: the battery compartment has a plastic piece that keeps the batteries in place, but condensation from damp food in the trash can gets into the battery compartment and rusts the contact points. This may be the cause of the item failure.

My husband purchased this can without my knowledge. When it came, I was a little put off. How could he spend so much money on a bathroom can that appeared so small. Well, it's not so small,and quite functional. All you have to do,is wave your hand over it, it opens ,you place your refuse in and it automatically closes . Now, this may not seem like a big deal, but my husband does not always hit the can, the fact that he has to open it, kind of forces him to look to see if the can is open,and aim. I love this thing. Functional, a lot more than I thought it would be,and it keeps his bathroom neat. My only complaint, and this is really his fault, is that you must keep a plastic bag in the can as the metal inside the can will rust if you place wet refuse in the can without a plastic bag. My husband thought it was plastic,it is Metal ,so USE A BAG. No big deal. Love this little can.

This is my second purchase of this unit and it’s been more than frequently used over 3 years, it finally gave up, but feel I got more than what I expected from it. I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I don’t want to ‘touch’ a disposing unit before I ‘dispose’ and this is the perfect size for my organics. The bags fit perfectly and I can’t say enough good about it. Clean and simple design too. Love love love it!

This is awesome. I have a motion detection for my garbage can, but I use this small one for my compost. How many times do I need my 2 hands to clean off my plate and have to put something down to lift the gross lid and put it down somewhere. Fits the small compost bag really well. Easy to clean, spray cleaner inside, wipe down and let dry before I put my new bag in. Worth the money.
