DRIVESTAR20-64610 Power Steering Pump, fit 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 for Jeep Liberty, 3.7L V6

Prior to purchasing this power steering pump I looked at several stores and on the internet prices range from $72.00 to over $300. I decided on this pump mainly for the price and warranty. The pump was identical to the OEM which I took off the vehicle. The only snag I had was replacing the little O-ring on the hose, which I thought would be best to replace. Autozone had an O-ring kit for around five dollars which had one that fit. Also make sure you purchase the correct fluid this one took the ATF-4, which they also had at Autozone, just under a quart was needed.I did replace the old pulley with a new pulley which I purchased from Amazon for around $20 and rented a pulley installation tool from Autozone to install it which took about 5 minutes. Autozone does refund the money when you return it. You could easily just do it in the parking lot and save a return trip.After I added the fluid i slowly turned the wheel back and forth turning it a little bit at first in each direction and increasing with each turn. After about 10 turns I checked the fluid level and took it out for a test drive.Works better than the original! Total work time about 2 hours, plus a trip to Autozone.

Had some stumbling blocks, but not due to this purchase, much. All worked out.
