My son and daughter love these kits. Excellent value for 4 projects. Best STEM kit I've found.
tl;dr; I'm going to see if this company makes other kits like this. I want to buy more.I've bought a decent number of STEM 'kits' to do with my son and daughter. This is easily the best one. All the projects can be done in less than an hour and include everything required (including small screwdrivers). The best part is that you actually end up with something my kids enjoy using. Not just putting on a shelf to look at.The bubble machine makes *a lot* of bubbles. My daughter and her friends completely ran through every bottle of bubble solution we had in 1 day. She is also into art and has loved figuring out all the different patterns you can get the 'art robot' to do by shifting the weight around by changing the lengths of the markers. The one thing I will say is that I wouldn't get this for a kid under 8. The recommended age range is about right. And for younger (8-9) makers you'll want to make sure they have assistance from an adult. Mostly for some small screws and wiring up some of the motors. Most of the motors have small holes that you need to thread the wire through and then twist around.

Excellent for developing fine motor coordination
I purchased this product to develop the motor skills of a seven-year-old. I'm fed up with spending $50 on one lego set that he builds within an hour. The robot kits were a huge success and kept him busy for a week. The screws are small and he needed to hold the screwdriver in place to assemble the nut, but he mastered the technique and loved the challenge. The kits became fun toys in our household. He is bragging now to his friends when he shows them the funny robot car driving around, and the bubble blower.

Fun & not too pricey STEM toy
I can see how this would be a “your mileage may vary” project. I got it for my niece’s 8th birthday because she’s a crafty kid & I like to encourage STEM stuff. I found part quality and fits to be fine—the times that the fit seemed bad it was because we were trying to put something in the wrong hole/way. There was a *bit* of backtracking, so the instructions could have been clearer (not as good as say, the kits you get with Kiwicrate). But I have zero engineering skills and she is 8, and we managed to troubleshoot together in good spirits and with some laughter!A couple people have mentioned the front wheels not working right. We had that problem too, and ended up switching the handles/longer shaft to the back and then it worked like a charm! With a less clever/patient kid it may not have been as fun, but we are excited to try the other 3 kits in the box, and the 2 year old and the 8 year old love their new “pet robot.”

Productive time spent with family
a gift to my 6 year old grandson, he loves the toy and listened to daddy who put it together. Daddy did most the work which we knew would happen but the child smiled to everyone as he shared his homemade robot to others at the park. He loves the outcome, carefully plays with it and YES I will buy another kit. The fact he was uncapable of doing it alone isn't an issue the knowledge that he can and will build a robot at home, wow very exciting. Our family parents an children interact and teach . sorry old grannie couldn't get video to load.

Too much
While entertaining to some degree it is also frustrating for most children. Too gimmicky and too many small pieces.

Perfect! Make more products like this!
It was bought as a summer camp kit for my daughter. She had a lot of fun and gained many skills. The photo instructions were a little vague but this helped her figure out the rest on her own as part of the learning process. We are waiting for the company to make more STEM kits like this for us to buy!

We are a family of engineers...
I rarely leave negative reviews, giving the companies, big and small, benefit of the doubt. This set looks like it was put together by a prodigy teenager using a 3d cheap printer and the cheapest electronics he could find. So the idea is great! But this set has the flimsiest pieces I haven't seen even to come from China in 20 years. Many don't fit well together, way too tight or too loose. The instructions are unclear to say the least. Most of the time we don't mind going back a couple of steps to straighten things out, but again, the pieces, electronics especially, are do flimsy you might not get a second chance.I come from a family of engineers, and got this as a gift for my stepson last Christmas. We have tried to make the four wheeled robot at first, but something was wrong with buttons connection. I ordered the whole new battery case. We had to readjust it several times, because the instruction pictures were wrong. Finally the robot was done. It "walked" for about 4 seconds before the rubber band fell off...Almost a year later we have decided to give it another try, with the bubble maker. The instructions don't show the side of the tower piece that is hollow, or better say non-existent. So, following instructions, it happened to be in the back. This is where the heaviest piece has to go, the propeller and the motor. Took everything apart, switched it up. Now, the connections. Instructions neither suggests which wire goes where, nor how to connect them, nor provides any tool for it. Wires are thin as a hair. Holes are as small as an eye of a needle. The contraption does not turn on. Is it the the wrong wires, loose connections, or maybe other faulty pieces? I give up, this has been just a source of frustration for our family.
