My 7 year old daughter adores these books. They're "grown up" for her but very clean and appropriate even though the characters are teens.

One of the best books ever.
I liked it all. You would of had to read the rest of the series to understand the whole story.

Another good book in the series except for a large plothole.
This book is as good as the others in the series except that it should have been obvious that Ivy couldn't have traveled to America. It would have meant travelling across half of Europe and and then across the Atlantic Ocean. Also Ivy had grown out her fangs in Wallachia and Olivia didn't have fangs Ivy couldn't have regrow those fangs in one night. It is also common knowledge that Ivy has an identical twin. Ivy should have brought up those arguments. The teacher could have later confessed that she knew it hadn't been Ivy but wanted to keep an eye on her in detention and used this incident as an excuse.

When the bats away
I had my concerns about the twins being separated in this book but it turn out a much better story than I originally thought. The book rotates between Ivy in her private school and Olivia back home in every other chapter. Ivy hates her school of snobbish roommates and teachers who come down on her. Ivy plan to prove she's as good as any vampire in the school when it comes the Gauntlet course. I was kind of reminded of the old HB0 original series THE WORST WITCH with this section of the book except with vampires instead of witches.Other half of the book deals with Olivia not sure where she fits any more with her sister half way around the world and her recent break up with her movie star boyfriend. She's helping Mr. Vega with his plan to ask the vampire movie star to marry him; but the beasts are on her back, Ivy's boyfriend and best friend drags her disguise as Ivy to a vampire's only rock concert, and The mysterious new student at Groove High name Holly wants to be her friend and learn more about Ivy.

Amazing!!!
I'm always looking for great books and taking recommendations. My friend recommend this book to me and I am pleased she did and now I found a great series. I would recommend this to people a little bit younger than me ( I'm ten) . So far, since this is a AMAZING series, I read 11books in just two weeks. I hope this helps!!!

Book 12 of the Vampire Sister stories another good book
Would recommend these stories for 9 years plus girls who like vampires - my daughters have read 1 - 12 so far and are now asking for more - they seem to find these really easy to read and enjoyable.

9yo enjoying this series
My 9yo daughter is really enjoying this series of books. Good stories about twin sisters, one of whom - as the title suggests - is a vampire. Not in a scary way though (my daughter is very sensitive and doesn't like anything remotely scary).
