CULINARY CHEF Retro Smoothie Maker Blender with Mason Jar, Perfect for Shakes and Smoothies, 300-Watt, Cream

It's so hard to find a small glass smoothie maker, and this is exactly what I was seeking. It's cute, efficient, and seems to do a great job! Easy to clean, easy to use, a great product!

Pros: A compact and slim blender with a surprisingly powerful ability to make smoothies and milkshakes! I have a small kitchen and I make smoothies a lot. It was important to me to have something small that actually works. This blender is adorable and I have received several compliments. I love how it comes with a mason jar straw and lid in addition to the tall plastic blending container. Cons: they do not make blenders like they used to. This unit is entirely plastic. The steel handle? Plastic. It seems flimsy and I have been careful when I use it to not use too much force. I believe if you are careful with this blender, treat it with a tender touch it should last a long time. It is too pretty on the countertop to get rid of!

Wow. I have been through many high end blenders that have broken or just didn’t cut it. Well, I am so amazed at this blender. Perfect size for my smoothies and so easy to use. I love how you simply twist on the lid and turn it on. It blends so nicely and doesn’t leave my protein powder on the sides like my old blenders do. It crushed ice and blends up to a perfect consistency. I’ve never written a review on here before but I am amazed at this!! Not to mention it’s so cute on the counter!

Too bad, so sad. This is so cute and looks nice on the counter. It does have enough power for smoothies even if berries are frozen. However, it's tricky or even impossible to remove the mixing jar from the base (the part with the motor) when you are done. Even if I screw the blending cap (with the blades) on tight, when I go to remove the finished smoothie, the top of the jar stays in the base and the jar unscrews and the contents can go all over the place. This happened when I washed the unit by putting water and detergent in it. Someone was able to remove it for me, over the sink (no, I didn't put too much in it--about half full). He said it should work it I pushed down hard on the jar when trying to twist to remove, the next time. But the next time, it happened again, even when pushing down hard. The same friend could only remove the jar without spilling the contents by turning the whole thing upside down and unscrewing it. I will see if I can return it. It's an attractive design, but it needs to be user friendly.

Many pros and cons to this blender, but I think the pros outweigh the cons. The good: -Portion control: perfect size for a single smoothie or smoothie bowl for one person. -Mostly glass and therefore less microplastic exposure: though the screw-in with the blade on it is mostly plastic, it sticks on to a mason jar that's all glass. -Low wattage: This is the only blender that I could find that runs on such low wattage that you can run it off of a car battery or portable car-charging battery like a small Jackery. I went on a road trip and was able to pull over and make smoothies -- very convenient. Cons: --Low wattage (and therefore blade speed): the blade doesn't go that fast (as much as commercial blenders) so you need to do some shaking and repositioning of the stuff within when you're blending chunky things. Motor emits some foul smells when it's really struggling to blend and/or gets "stuck." --Not a standard mason jar size fit: Ideally the blade would screw on to any mason jar, but they didn't do that. --they don't sell replacement jars. I had this for almost three years before a really dramatic end. I was blending a date banana smoothie and after struggling precipitously, the blender somehow flung the date THROUGH the glass. That's right, the blender just sort of exploded as the date flew out. I've never seen anything like it. Anyway, an Oster this is not, but it's a good blender for certain situations or conditions.

It's really cute, but regularly blending my fresh fruit-spinach-tofu smoothies, the blender can't handle it. It wore out quickly and was taking WAY too much time to get the job done.

I love this little blender! Not only is it cute, but it's functional. It's so simple to use. It doesn't have a ton of settings and confusing buttons- just one switch to turn the blades. It came with one single serving glass container that has a handle and one single serving plastic one. I'm not a fan of plastic, so I don't really use that one. It came with two different caps that are inter-changeable and can be used for both containers. It doesn't take long to blend up my smoothies, which usually contain 3-4 cubes of ice, one banana, greens, oat milk, and blueberries. This little blender is nothing fancy, but if you want smoothies, it does the job!

Cute, but that's all. Not usable- glass bottle not reinforced. Glass broke into pieces right away during first use.
