Samsung Travel Charger for Galaxy Alpha, Note 4, Note 4 Edge, S6, S6 Edge - Non-Retail Packaging - White

Please note : I got mine from "SF Planet" after reading a Q&A section for this charger which they state from their reply for a questioner on September 9, 2016: "Please be assured that our product is genuine. SF Planet does not, and will not, intentionally purchase or sell counterfeit/fake/replica items. Given the business scale and reputation we have today, there is no good reason for us to do that. " Below is my review. While it includes the seller's name, I am including this for the sole purpose of reducing the amount of people receiving the wrong but definitely visually identical product and leaving a negative review that does not involve the genuine product itself. Well, when I got a "new" Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (N910T3) last week (Week 37; 2016) to replace a newer phone that didn't have an LTE receiver, my "new" phone was packaged with an OEM Samsung charger and cable that was genuine. However, what was particularly odd for me was that the shipper sent me the charger intended for the Note 3, which meant I could not benefit from the "Quick Charge" that this cell phone is implemented with and being in an environment which requires me to use my cell phone daily, meant that the battery would quickly drain and I would have to find an outlet to charge up. Additionally, the charger included in my shipment charged at a very low amperage ( ~150mA) for some reason and that would've required me to "bang" the charger against a wall or strong material which I would not recommend anyone to do. At least it was better than (unbeknownst to me) utilizing a counterfeit charger (with the Samsung logo sold VERY cheaply at the "Electronic Bay" which I bought from a domestic seller) that was VERY hot to the touch (that should get the attention of Underwriters Laboratories) charging my "new" cell phone with it and prompted me to throw that thing away rather than that thing melting and causing a fire. So opening up my package from them, it is indeed genuine with my cell phone recognizing a fast charger has been connected to it on the notifications. I could also feel the words "Adaptive Fast Charger" including the Lighting symbol being "etched on" so to say with my hands without any plastics/vinyl removed from the charger itself (aside from removing the wrapper). Unfortunately, at the time of this writing (16:25 CDT ; 24-Sep-16), my phone was fully charged when I got this but I will try to update this review with my overall experience with this genuine product over time. I hate receiving endorsements/discounts/free product offerings just for the purpose of boosting sales for a (terrible/good) product. It just undermines the whole purpose of reviewing honestly on any website, including Amazon.com.

I have been trying to find OEM Samsung phone chargers for months. Finally, I found these at a reasonable price and work great. Really are fast chargers! 𝗗𝗘𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗬 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗.

This charger exceeded my expectations. I was hesitant to buy this charger after reading some of the bad reviews. Desperate for a second fast charger, I went ahead and placed my order. When it arrived, I immediately compared this charger to the original that came in the box with my Note 4. I could not tell a difference at all, they were identical. I haven't had any problems whatsoever. I just placed an order for another, since mine has seemed to disappear. For those who are complaining they are not fast-charging, I can almost assure you, assuming there are no defects on the phone or charging equipment, that the issue is the cord that is being used to charge. Even I didn't believe there was a difference, but my son set me straight. Charging cords are not all alike. IN ORDER FOR THE FAST CHARGE FEATURE TO WORK YOU HAVE TO HAVE A 2.0 RATED CORD. When I tried using the cord from my Note 2 with the fast charger, my phone registered as slow charging. The Note 4 cord registered fine for fast charging. I have purchased some beefy cords thinking they would surely work. Nope. Turned out to be the 1.5 versions. Goes to show in this case size really doesn't matter. Don't be fooled. Make sure you have the right cord before you blame this charger for failure. I would recommend this to anyone needing a fast charger.

I was extremely skeptical when purchasing this product because of the bad reviews – everyone seems to be complaining that it’s either not fast charging, or it’s not the OEM cube. This is ABSOLUTELY the OEM cube, and it absolutely does fast charge. People don’t realize that it’s actually the USB cable attached to the cube that is causing a slow charge. They are blaming this product because their phone still isn’t charging quickly (Which is ridiculous). Here’s a quick tip; if your cube is still charging your phone (maybe not fast charging) in any way what-so-ever, it’s not the cube that is bad – it’s your USB cable. If your charging cube has surged, you’ll know, because you won’t be getting any charge at all. Feel confident in this purchase, it is an OEM cube, and it does fast charge as long as your USB cable isn’t trashed.

This item has worked really well no heat if left in the plug to long and it doesn't spark when being plugged in

I ordered 4, none of them work. I like the OEM one that I got with my S6, and I was expecting that these would be the same. However, my S6 recognizes that it is connected to a charger for about a minute, then the phone make the noise like you just connected/disconnected the charger. It seems to go back an forth between charging and disconnecting, periodically making the associated sound (which gets annoying). In the end, it seems to saturate at some low charge level, and the charging effectively stops. I know it is not my phone, because at the same time, I ordered this iClever BoostCube 40W 4-Port USB Travel Wall Charger with SmartID Tech and Foldable Plug, White and it works as expected for fast charging.

Was looking for a charger with USB-A port on it so this was a life saver
