Perfect fit
I had replaced the actuator as this was the thought, they go out. But lo and behold, when I tried the new actuator, same thing. So I ordered this release switch, took maybe 10 mins total and I have a functional lift gate again.

2015 f150
Bought because description mentions 2015-2017 f150. I used for the cargo bed light switch which was bad. This one does not fit but I took the housing from the old switch (4 small screws) and used on the new one. Plug is exactly the same. A two minute job. Works great now.
