Definitely a super loud and shrill whistle. Probably overkill in a lot of cases... unless you are wearing earplugs it will pierce your eardrums...

The best and loudest whistle for a basketball referee! These are always the best ones! My husband refs lots of basketball from junior high to college level and every year he likes a fresh whistle! This one works the best! Best sound , best quality, and it can take a full season of use!
