These don't actually have wooden handles. I think the seller was trying to communicate that you could use them for carving hardwood with them. They are quite good for that. They have matte black plastic covers thermally molded over a steel handles (about the diameter of a #2 pencil), with some kind of tool steel blades solidly welded into that. They have a fairly good grip, and a heavy, but not too heavy, solid feel. The blades are quite small and very sharp, with an assortment of blades. I plan on using them for inlay, and they are perfect for that. This kit is a very good deal for the price.

Nothing more then questionable quality tool attached to a heavy metal rod covered with plastic, tools have never seen Sandalwood. Tool edges have plenty of burs if that’s what you want.
