Excellent Study Bible with Wide Margins for Notes
I received this bible as a gift 8 years ago. Forget your views on Hank Hanegraaff - this is a great bible if you enjoy following note references and want space for taking notes. The text is large enough to be easily read, and the margins are wide for note taking. Unlike other "journaling" bibles, this one actually has indexes, a detailed concordance, and maps at the back. Unfortunately, I managed to leave the original bible, with 8 years of study notes in it, behind on a chair while trying to complete a lot of tasks at church before picking up my daughter from Sunday school. After several weeks of checking the "lost and found", and finding that no one turned it in, I finally bought another bible ... a "journaling" bible... and for the last year, I have really hated that bible. It has wide margins, but every few pages those margins are taken up with drawings and stylized text from some of the verses on that page, and the paper seems to only have been meant to be written on with special artistic markers, otherwise it smears. I finally gave in and just bought a direct replacement for the bible that was "lost". The only reason I can't give it 5 stars, is because I hate looking at the front cover and seeing Hank Hanegraaff's name in larger print than the word "Bible". I always have. It's pretty ridiculous that he had it printed that way. The content (including the study content) of this bible is sound, I have no concern with that. It just gets old walking into church and having people zero-in on the name on the front cover. I would feel that way no matter whose name was on the front; having a person's name on the front of a bible in such large text just feels out of place. So, the second I received this replacement, I used a Sharpie (it took 3 layers, allowing it to dry in between each) to blackout the name. If you are the kind of person who writes study notes in their bible, this one is the one for you, and yes, you can easily cover up the name of the editor that is very prominently printed on the front. Loved my original version (still hope it turns up one day), but will love this one just as much.NOTE: The description stated that the cover would be leather, and it was - the "option" box says "Paperback". As long as the description says "leather", you should be able to ignore the "Paperback" that Amazon throws onto the option box. I think Amazon doesn't understand the concept of a leather-bound book in its marketplace.

Perfect replacement!
I love this Bible. I bought it to replace the 10-year old Bible that was about worn out! It's the exact same version in a different color. The best parts of this Bible are the wide margins at the top, sides, between columns, and bottom. Lots of room for notes. It's scripture without the commentary of a man. There are cross-reference scriptures (not comprehensive) and errors have been noted with some but the good student will find those. I never read the author pages in the beginning part and won't this time either. God is the author so I'll just jump into the Word. Highly recommend!

Great bible to own.
I love this bible and love the fact the translation is the NKJV. The bible has a great font size making reading easy on the eyes. The best part is the wide margins where one can take notes. Another great feature is the blank pages at the end of the chapter to take more in death notes and write down your thoughts. The introduction to the books and letters of the bible is short and to the point making a very easy understanding of the book. I really like the creeds of the patristic fathers found in the back. All around truly one of the best bibles I ever purchased. The paper is thick so you do not have to worry about bleed through. I bought the hard back and very solid put together bible. I would highly recommend you buying one.

Halfway nice!
The Legacy Study Bible is not like most study Bibles on the market today. It is not filled with the author's interpretation of things. There are very few author's notes. Yet, If you want a Study Bible with very large margains for taking personal notes, this is the one for you! The margains on top, bottom, side and inbetween the columns are just huge in comparison to most Bibles! However if you want a study Bible where a man tries to tell you what every other verse means, then buy something else. Asante Sana!

Not happy with this because nothing was said in the description ...
Not happy with this because nothing was said in the description that a name was etched on the front cover and then covered up to try and hide it. Also nothing was said about notes in INK in the pages. While the price was a good price, I would not have purchased with the above information listed.

Best
I have been reading Living by the Book by Howard & William Hendricks. They recommend studying the Bible using one that has Large print, Wide margins, no notes, no subheadings, cross references, and good paper quality and binding, a concordance in the back, and maps. Except for the cross references this Bible has all of the above. It's the only one I could find that does and just happens to be the NKJV which is my favorite translation. I wasn't sure if I would like just having pages of Biblical text without anything else. I can't study any other way now. I love it. It's great to read the text and not be distracted by any opinion other than the leading of the Holy Spirit. This will be my "go to" Bible for the rest of my days.

Boy do I feel cheated
Bought this specific Bible for my wife after she requested it as a gift following a sermon in which our pastor recommended it. Needless to say, I have been disappointed.First, as others have stated, this IS NOT a Study Bible. I have read concordances more detailed than this! If you purchased it as such, you will be left lacking.Second, this Bible is extremely bulky and not very convenient for lugging from place to place.Third, I feel ashamed to leave this Bible face-up in church because it flashes Hank's name right there on the front cover in size and font that is bigger and more distinguishable than the word "Bible" itself. Finally, my wife is not even utilizing one of the main features of this Bible and probably the only reason to even get it- the wide margins so you can take more copious notes. All in all, I only paid $32 for it, but feel it was a huge waste of money, and my money would have been better spent on a different Bible.
