Musique, Vol. 1 1993-2005
With only three main studio albums, the French house duo Daft Punk releases a compilation album to remind us of their greatest strength--massive singles. And indeed, the hits are here. "Da Funk," "Around the World," "Technologic," and the irresistible "One More Time" are all included, and they pack just as much punch as they did several years ago. Other classics in the Daft Punk community like "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger," and "Robot Rock" may never have gotten quite the level of widespread attention of the former but are equally as good.Heavy emphasis is placed on debut album Homework with six song selections, whereas the other two albums--and the remix section at the end of the album--receive only three spots each. But Homework was probably their most beloved and memorable album, even if Discovery had the pop hits (two of which, "Aerodynamic" and "Digital Love," are oddly missing). The remixes at the end, particularly "Mothership Reconnection," are okay but somewhat forgettable.Word for the wise: Daft Punk gotten where they are off of 5+ minute, repetitive house music. So for the dance music lover, this is a must-have greatest hits package. Just know what you're getting into. If you simply like a couple of the popular songs on here and don't really do dance music much, giving the album an entire listen may be boring if not impossible. But for the rest of us, this should keep our batteries charged long after the humans are in bed.

the robot gods
kind of impossible to define the best way to introduce daft punk to people but this is obviously a fantastic option. i just plead people to to just start with homework and work their way through because their discog is too good to just skip around. plus ram and tron and the collabs are missing. BUT this comp is so amazing. love the booklet. the remixes are also very standout. vinyl pressing would be nice too!!

Highly recommended for fans of Daft Punk
This is probably Daft Punk's best CD release, as the case for the CD is made especially well, and even has a special pocket for the booklet in the middle, plus a cool picture of the robots in the Discovery Era on the inside of the case. The CD, DVD case, and booklet are in excellent condition

A Great Album That I Only Wish Was Longer!
This collection of Daft Punk tracks is great for any fan of the duo. It has a bunch of their greatest hits and is overall a joy to listen to. I only dock 1 star from the rating because it's a bit sparse for a collection spanning 12 years of their work. Regardless, it's still a blast to listen to, and as a Daft Punk fan, I'm happy to own it!

A Great Collection
I have been enjoying this CD in the car on my way to work for the past month! It is a great collection of Daft Punk's hits, with a few remixes at the end. It is the closest thing to a "Best of Daft Punk" that a person can get right now.

A great Daft Punk collection!
This is a excellent assortment of Daft Punk's works from the 90s and early 2000s. I thoroughly enjoy One More TIme and Around the World the most, but some hidden gems include Robot Rock and Revolution 909!
