Crankbrothers Dunarri Speedier Lever , Black

I don't normally write Amazon reviews, but when I do, it's because the product has improved my quality of life. I recently bought a new rear Mavic wheel that's tubeless ready, but I use clinchers. Specifically, I've ridden Gatorskins for the better part of 10 years. Now, Gatorskins are amazing for puncture resistance, but they're notorious for being extremely difficult to get on and off the rim because the bead is crazy tight. When I got the wheel, I was naturally ecstatic because I hadn't ridden in 3 weeks. When I got the wheel home, I had to literally cut the stock Yksium tire off the rim because I could not get the tire off it. It took me 2 hours to get the new Gatorskin on it using levers because the tire was insanely tight and the tubeless ready rim's dual tracks are a unique challenge. Of course, I flat on the inaugural ride. It takes me an hour to finally get the tire off the rim, but the bead is so tight as I'm trying to get it back on the rim I puncture 2 tubes. I am livid. My thumbs are blistered and fingers are bleeding. I have to call a Lyft to rescue me. That night, I look for tools to save my sanity, and I find this and buy it immediately. It arrives quickly cuz Prime, and of course I flat the next day about 25 min into the ride. Using this Crankbros tool I'm able to get the tire off the rim, change the tube, and get it back on the rim in 10 minutes. Compared to the 1-2 hours I spent the first few times, it's unbelievable. Buy this thing. It's big, but it works like a dream.

I've got this after spending several hours trying to pull on 30mm tubeless P-Zeros on 25mm wide hookless rims using regular levers and a bead jack. While, unsurprisingly, it was not able to pull on these tires by itself, I succeeded in using it to hold the bead from slipping on one side and managed to finally pull on the tires with a bead jack. There are clamps that do the same and cost $15 or there is this lever for less than half. And it works great for pulling tires off. Also great to pull on tires, which are not extremely tight.

I've used 8 inch metal and plastic tire levers for a LONG time and they work OK but you have to be careful with them because it's easy to pinch a tube between the rim and the metal lever. Metal and even plastic levers can also scratch rims pretty quickly and I'd NEVER use a metal lever on a carbon fiber wheel. This Crankbrothers speedier lever is an excellent alternative to metal levers. I've removed and replaced 10 tires with this handy little tool since it arrived. This lever is solidly built, thoughtfully designed and is small enough to keep on a road bike for a field tube change or tire replacement. I utilize re-usable zip ties to speed things up with certain tires (see photo). I'll get one part of the tire and tube seated, zip it in place and move around the tire with this lever and then air up the tire after removing the zip ties. This lever is faster than dual metal levels and easier as well. I also occasionally use water based golf grip solvent as a lubricant for the tire bead - soapy water works as well. It helps the lever slide easier. I'm going to buy a couple more of these for the shop and my other cycle. Hope that helps!

Have been using this for two years, at least twice a year to add and remove spiked ice tires It is a must-have for tight wire beads. I juat uaed it to swap out my fat tires. The somewhat sharper edged install lever and brass-knuckles like grip make pulling the bead up, out and off the rim a lot easier than the small plastic tire levers - without scratching or damaging the rims that may happen using the big metal Park Tool levers (which are a must for really stiff beads). The groove in the tool to install is really handy to slide the bead in the rim without pinching the tube. Again the grip is key to maximizing leverage. For really deep tubeless rims like on my 29er, or even thick wire beads like the CST Toboggan pictured here, this won't be enough. For that I use the long metal Park Tool TL5 levers and the Koolstop grabber for the last few inches of bead.

This lever does work and is better than traditional levers. With that said it is a bit awkward in terms of hand position and as noted by others the hook for mounting is too thin and looks like it will break easily. I bought this and a tyre monkey at the same time to try both and recommend the tyre monkey hands down. It may be 3x the price but the tyre monkey is much easier to use and I think will be much more durable.

I love this tool! No more levers for me. I keep this in all my saddle bags. Absolutely the best for removing and installing bike tires, especially when trail riding.

This tool is amazing, It take tire changing and flat repairs to the next level.. I was on a 62 mile ride caught a flat around 23 miles into the ride, I told the pelelton to go ahead, The tool work so well.I was able to change my inner tube air u p my tire put my tire back on the bike put my stuff away and catch up to the pelelton. HI 5 to this tool.

Très bon outil. Solide. Un peu agressif pour les montants du pneu donc attention si vous êtes monte en tubeless. Sinon permet de ne prendre qu' un seul outil pour réparer une crevaison en sortie, marche très bien et évite de galérer avec trois démonté pneu qui cassent régulièrement ou abîme la jante si en métal.

I saw this and took a chance on Crank Brothers Speedier Tire Lever. This dual sided tire lever is amazing. I have used it twice now and everyone that has changed a bicycle tire, know the last 8 inches of the bead of the tire is the worst, but the hook for the rim slide put the tire on with ease. Whenever I go out cycling, it is a must have tool to be on the bike ride.

Amended review. Once I popped the beaded edge of the tyre away from the rim into the center, this tool really did the job. Sliding around the flat tyre, taking it off and installing a tyre But popping the tyre away from the edge has to be done by hand and fingers. I couldn't get the lever to help with this.
