This formula is not effective! :(
This stuff doesn't work. I have been taking this brand of ashwagandha for over a month. I take three capsules daily, per the bottle instructions. It is not working. The other brand I was using (required two capsules daily) apparently did work. NOW, using THIS brand/formulation, I am much more emotional (not in a good way). I can also feel a churning time of burning feeling in my abdominal fat, which I can only assume is my cortisol level going insanely high after being well-controlled by my previous ashwagandha (which I was taking for about six months). I just realized that it was this ashwagandha that is not working and causing my more recent mood and physical symptoms. I, despite following a relatively ketogenic way of eating, have stalled weight loss and even gained 10 pounds. I guess that's due to the cortisol/adrenaline/stress levels that are not being remedied with this version of ashwagandha. As someone who wants to feel happy, healthy, and emotionally under control while trying to also lose/control my weight, to discover that my supplement is not working is quite upsetting. Naturally, it's beyond the return date for this product, too, but how is someone going to know it is not working WITHIN the return window?! (they can't know by then; can only know if they have an allergic reaction or there is something wrong with the product such as mold, etc.) I have another brand of ashwagandha, too, I guess I'll start that one and see if it works. Otherwise, it's back to the first formula I tried that I know was effective.

Recommended by Dr to take with thyroid meds. Helps with absorption.

Worked Strongly After taking only 5 Capsules
Took 5 capsules, felt the familiar strong kava buzz. Nice and strong.

Very poor quality!
Very disappointed in this product! I've had much better for cheaper price! Look elsewhere!

Compares favorably to Amazon best seller brand
Like the best selling Physician's Choice brand, three pills of the Jiva brand are a dose of organic Ashwaganda root powder (1950mg for Physician's Choice, 1800 for the Jiva brand). Both are organic and non-GMO. Pricing is slightly less for Jiva, probably commensurate with the slightly lower dose. All in all, a good alternative.
