As a Pro athlete and Ironman Champion I can say compression boots are MUST own tool
RECOVERY BOOTS are simply the BEST investment any serious athlete can make.As a Professional Triathlete & Ironman champion with over 35 career wins, 150+ triathlon, and 50+ marathons I can say that I have put a lifetime of abuse on my body in a very short time. Recovery is absolutely essential to every professional athlete and every pro NBA, NFL, NHL, and MLB team is using compression boots. Even King James has a pair and is reported to spend $2 million on his recovery every year. With that being said there are many different options out there and Normatec is one of the more expensive units although their much bigger, bulkier unit was just $5000 a few years back so prices have come down substantially. I have been reviewing recovery compression boots for many years and I have tested them all and put out detailed comparison reviews on my blog and I have developed a little niche testing out all the devices. As far as the NormaTec Pulse 2.0 system goes let's compare it against the NormaTec Pulse 1.0 system. What is BETTER in the NormaTec Pulse 2.0 system:- 37% smaller and 6oz lighter- Has bluetooth so you can use your iOS/Android app to control pressure and time- Connect to strava/training peaks for automatic upload (must use bluetooth)- Touchscreen LCD including buttons vs tactile buttons on Pulse with an LCD display- Price is $1295 versus $1495What is the same:- Goes to the same 100mmHg with a 110mmHg for one single zone in the zone boost- Backward compatible with all hoses and attachments on the Pulse 1.0- Durability and 2-year warranty including YKK zippersWhat is worse:- Battery life is down to sub 2 hours in my testing on pressure level 5 versus around 3 hours- Noticed some fading on the LCD screen and had some zipper issues with my pair with the zippers getting stuck.Final opinionNormatec makes an awesome pair of recovery compression boots that make recovery fun and enjoyable. They are a little on the pricey side at $1295 when there are more affordable options out there. My current affordable pair is by a company called Speed Hound. I did a comparison review of these against Normatec and they are half the price at $650 and are every bit as good. G-search Thomas Gerlach Speed Hound vs Normatec if you are interested in more details. Otherwise, Normatec is a great choice as well.

Great Recovery Tool
Our daughter is an athlete. She runs approximately 135 miles per month. She has a rigorous training schedule that lasts all year long. This is an extraordinary tool that provides her legs with an opportunity to recover well. It decreases muscle soreness at the completion of any one of her workouts. This product is easy to use. It is lightweight. It is easy to transport.

Doesn’t turn on after 3 weeks!
Spent almost $1,500 for this and it breaks in 3 weeks??!!!! Terrible!!! The power doesn’t turn on all of a sudden. HORRIBLE! Returning it right away!

Helps recover faster
I was recommended by a friend. I initially questioned it but after using for a while, I now am questioning why I didn't purchase this before. Not cheap for sure. But helps recover faster. Compared to alternatives I researched, it's battery powered, so portable.
