Amazon Basics Packaging Tape Dispenser Gun, Easy-to-Use, 1.88-Inch Wide Packing Tape

I really needed a new tape dispenser. I'm packing up 2 locations & WOW! my old dispenser was not working well. It didn't have a blade cover (never did), the tape kept getting stuck on the clear flap/guide (eeerrr), the metal tape guide didn't lift so I couldn't easily reposition the roll (the new one has a hinge on it!) & the cutting teeth on the old one looked like they had been stolen off an old bulldog (it had me barking!). Cutting packing tape had become a chore BUT .... I am happy to say, the new dispenser has a cover for the cutting blade/teeth (the teeth are nice & pointy, too. I'm not worrying as much about nicking my fingers or hands. This whole dispenser is solid, not wonky like other ones that I'd paid just as much (if not more) for. Very pleased with this purchase. Quality & easy-to-use is what it's all about.

works very well for the price

This is good quality but the tape is not fixed in it and comes out when i try to run this so i think it should be better and firm grip of tape so it will not come out from the roler. Other wise its great amd time saving item.

It’s definitely a tape gun, and it definitely will do tape gun things, sort of. The tape falling off the spindle will make you want to start your own rocket company, and develop a rocket to fire it directly into the sun. I thankfully returned mine, before starting my very own rocket company, so I could fire it directly into the sun, before I even finished taping my first box. 10/10, don’t buy this thing, unless you hate yourself, and want to punish yourself. If you do hate you, and you want to punish you, this is the perfect torture device!

Solidly built, but tape roll easily falls off. Seems like a pretty nice tape gun except for that one issue. I can literally tip it sideways and give it a light shake and the tape will fall of in my hand. Very frustrating if you use it a lot. Going to be returning it.

Purchased to help pack a house for moving. This definitely got put through the paces and held up well. Simple to set up and use. Works great with 100m Basics tape.

Thought I'd need an engineering degree to put this together, like the cheap plastic one I bought years ago. This one is easy- peasy - took a couple of minutes and it is very sturdy. Shame that some didn't read the instructions and pictures and sent it back - it DOES have teeth - you just have to pull the tiny blue blade cover off like it shows. Those teeth are strong and it works well. Actually it would have been nice to have a guard for those teeth when storing - the blue thingy doesn't go back on again - and I don't want to push it....I'll end up shredded.
