Pho Hoa Vietnamese Special Spice for Pho, 2 oz, 2 Count

I love a good bowl of pho in the morning! One of my favorite breakfasts is a steaming bowl of pho fragrant with aromatics and warm spices! I had initially tried this product by purchasing it from a little shop in the Chinatown near me, it was delicious but having now received this product -- I would say must have been sitting on the shelf a bit of time. The fragrance of the spice ordered from Amazon just seemed so strong and pungent, like very fresh spices! I'm not sure if I just got lucky with this order but that was super surprising! I love this particular pho seasoning. What I do is actually open up the packet (it comes with two packets per box) and empty the contents into an 8 ounce mason jar with a good fitted lid. I'll scoop a spoonful with beef broth, a good squirt of siracha, soy sauce, ginger powder, a little extra cinnamon and simmer together for a few minutes, then pour this over my bowl of boiled rice noodles, add some lemon, bean sprouts, sliced raw onions and Thai basil with a dollop of hoisin for a delicious early morning meal! I've got my eye on preparing raw eye of round sliced thin and then portioned into individual packets, eye of round is a wonderfully economical cut of meat as well, these I plan to store in the freezer then chuck one into the hot broth in the pan just prior to putting over the noodles. Quick and delicious breakfast of pho noodles! I've really had a wonderful experience with this seller and plan to buy from them in the future as well! Thank you for this wonderful product! :D

Learned to make several Vietnamese dishes years ago and Pho has always been one of my favorite meals and have used several soup bases over the years and this one is my go to if not making the seasonings from scratch. Great flavor and the bags are very durable and do not break when in the soup for long periods. I use 2 bags for a very large pot and is perfect. Try it as you will not be disappointed.

I love this stuff. I use it with Pho broth to give it that unique Vietnamese flavor. They are like giant tea bags. But they are fragile. Put them in the water and let them steep. Then remove with a big spoon. Don't mess with them or the will break open!!

The reason I put 1star review & threw it away was because there is a sticker on it which states that it is a carcinogen! I cooked with it & it tasted quite good, but I could not finish my 1st serving & could not consume anymore because all I could think about was what the warning sticker stated about causing cancer. I threw away my bowl of soup, that pot of soup & the entire package of 2 boxes. I feel quite strongly that I was missled by Amazon. This product should not be sold on Amazon or anywhere else for that matter! I have shopped regularly on Amazon since 2009, however I am seriously reconsidering this practice.

We love the flavor of this pho seasoning! It makes a great soup flavor and it tastes just as good as any pho we've had at a restaurant. The seasoning comes in a tea like bag and you should not break it open or you'll have the spice particles in your soup. You just want to put the bag directly into your water. I've noticed a couple of reviews complaining about their soup looking muddy because they had opened the packets. You get 4 bags in each box. If you are making a large pot of pho you should probably use 2 bags to get a good flavor. You get 4 bags so each box is good for 2 separate batches. We have use some mixes that don't come in a bag and we've had to pick bark and other flavoring out of our soup as we are eating. With these sealed tea like bags you want have to worry about being careful while eating, you can just dig in.
