Stainless Steel Auto Release Plate for 10/22 - Replacement Accessories

I have a bunch of 1022s. First thing I change, is the bolt release. Easy job. I've modified the stock ones but this works first time, every time.

Got this fantastic part for my Ruger 10/22, Was so tired of fingering the bolt release after locking it back. After install i went to the range, locked the bolt back and installed the range flag when the lanes were cold, than when they went hot pulled the flag inserted the magazine and pulled the bolt, to my delight it worked like a charm, bolt slammed home and i was off too the races. If you have a hard time dealing with the stock bolt release in the 10/22 pick this up. it only takes about 10 minutes if you take your time and there are many videos out there that will show you how to install it.

Plenty of installation videos on youtube so installation was easy. Works as advertised. The bolt release plate is constructed of thinner metal than the factory part. However, that should not impede its function.

I have a very good set up on a Ruger 10-22, but was having a nagging problem with the bolt release after opening bold and keeping it open while cleaning it, and them releasing the bolt. After doing a lot of research I settled in on the TACBRO Stainless Steel Auto Release Plate. What a difference! The installation is very straight forward. There are lots of YouTube videos on the generic replacement of these types of release plates. It only takes a few minutes to swap out the factory release for this improved one. Once this is in place it is very simple to set the 10-22 bolt open, and then a simple rack of the bolt releases it. No more fiddling around with the release tab down at the trigger guard. Just rack and release when you are ready. The reason you may want to to seriously look into this is at most formal ranges, the Range Safety Officer wants to see each firearm open with a chamber flag in the chamber to show that the firearm is in an unloaded, safe condition when not being aimed and fired at the targets. If you have a stubborn bolt release on your 10-22, it makes that routine a nuisance, when you are ready to recommence putting in your magazine and releasing the bolt. Having this auto release greatly simplifies getting back to target shooting, but also makes the whole firing line safer as there is no need to wrestle with a stuck open bolt. Works great, and am happy with the result. Install was easy. There are lots of YouTube videos showing how to install this. The color matches my stainless 10/22 very well! Would recommend. It’s a lot of extra function for the money in my opinion.

Perfect fit for the 10/22...honestly should be a standard piece. Not only is it more convenient but when working with a loaded firearm, there's no reason to have to struggle to get it racked. This simple, yet effective piece makes it easier to just pull back and it's loaded. There are a few other similar products so hope this review was helpful.

I'm not sure this item is stainless steel. It appears to be zinc plated steel. It functions properly and allows you to slingshot the bolt closed. For the price it is a viable option.

A lot easier to work the action with this upgrade. Very similar to the factory piece just saves you from doing the DIY mod rounding out the opening with a Dremel.

Metal thickness on these seems thinner than original lever, making it feel slightly sloppier (?). And it only seems to work when 10/22 is right side up, so only when the gravity makes this lever fall down under it's own weight; if 10/22 is on the side or upside down - bolt won't release and will be locked back. But it works...
