perfect for machine sewing
I've spent too much time and money trying to find a directed extra light source for my sewing machine - this little light does the job. Bright overhead lights just cast a shadow exactly where you need to be able to see the most. The extra desk lamps I tried just made a glare without lighting the specific area around the needle. Other options required attaching the light to the machine which I didn't want to do. This little light is perfect - I just lay it on the machine bed from the back of the machine to the right of the needle and no glare, it just lights up exactly where you're sewing for perfect seams. You can either plug it in the wall (wall plug supplied), or into your machine if you have a usb port (usb cord included). You can use the included velcro to attach to the machine if you like, and can place it anywhere - even hang it over the top of the machine to keep it off of the work space for quilting, etc. Highly recommend.

The light is bright and I love the flexible neck. The Velcro is easy to place. I use it on my sewing machine and it illuminates the needle with pin point precision. It charges quickly. I would purchase again. No issues with it.

Great lighting addition to sewing space.
I am using this light to add visability to my sewing machine. Portable and rechargeable features are great to have since I have several sewing machines.

Great for travel and classes
This little magnetic light is surprisingly bright. Perfect for attaching to your needlepoint canvas. This longer version is great for larger canvases and the short stem version for small projects. You can put this on the back of a smaller canvas to make it work.

Stopped working after 30 hours of use
Great product . . . while it lasted for the two weeks I was able to use it. Used approximately 30 hours on a sewing machine and went out. Recharged for the recommended time several times. Would turn on, adjust light to proper position that I needed but then the light would go out every time after charging. Seems that there could be a short in the light wiring but no way to fix it.

Not returnable since Amazon classifies this as a healthcare item!
Beware! Beware! Beware! This item is not returnable. It’s my own fault - I didn’t realize it was non-returnable. This tiny light does charge up and it does put out light at two levels. It is very light weight and does work. However, the light it puts out is not sufficient for my use. For some reason (??!) Amazon classifies this as a healthcare product and won’t accept it back. I am really perturbed with Amazon. I can’t imagine why this is a healthcare item. I bought it along with the magnifier to use with needlework. I can’t even imagine a healthcare application for this. So now I am stuck with this $40 item. I am. Or happy with Amazon!!!

I can aim the light right onto the area I am sewing. I attached the night to my sewing machine.

It lights up the stitching area and the light can be moved to the perfect spot for the job you are doing whether stitching or threading the needle with the bendable neck . The light is easy to place on the side of the machine with the sticky velcro. I am very happy with this product.
