Works fine
This is a very basic kit and will resolve only the most basic balancing issues, but having said that it works well. I would not recommend using it on unfinished or natural finished ceiling fan blades as the clip is grips the blade so tightly that it can leave an imprint on the blade. I was able to resolve all of my balancing issues on a problematic fan with this kit and you cannot beat the price.

This saved me so much money.
My ceiling fan has a long hanging shaft, and was very much out of balance. This allowed me to try different blades without messing around with tape or glue. Even without the weights, the clip is worth every penny as a balancing tool. (TIP) put wax paper round the edge of the blade before using the clip, because removing the clip will more than likely cause marring, Especially on flat painted surfaces.

broke a window!
After cleaning and determining which blade is the unbalanced one. I made absolutely sure that the surface area was prime to stick the flat lead weight to. I did this early in the morning and came back later in the day, when I turned my fan on about two minutes later , it flew right into a window and cracked shattered it. The glue does not stick well enough even apparently after having time to set which the directions do not state is necessary. Beware.

They work
BLADES MUST BE CLEAN where the weights are applied, I actually wiped off some of the stain. I wrapped a piece of paper around the edge of the blades to protect the finish from scratching while using the temporary weight. I gave it only a three star because I didn't receive everything that was listed. Instead of three weights I received only two.

So with what it cost me to return the item I was basically better off not returning the item - e
I returned it. Even though this was advertised as "large" the clip did not fit the fan blades and the weights were nothing more than a piece of cheap lead with double side tape. I did get my money back although they refunded only $1 of the shipping. So with what it cost me to return the item I was basically better off not returning the item - e.g. they refunded me $5.25 and I spent $5 to send the item back!

Simple but very helpful
Despite the fact that this is a very simple product, it takes away annoying vibration and noises. I used it to stabilize 4 fans at home and that made me a happier man.

Gets the job done, inexpensively
Inexpensive and rather basic balancing kit, but it worked well for me. Make sure you use masking tape on the fan blades as you are testing them. The clip is very tight and you will scratch the blades if you don't use tape.

Not so good
This was virtually the only balance kit I could find. The weights wouldn't stay stuck on.
