works well for its price
it worked well for my 8 ga wire - located battery in trunk for street and strip car. most of the wire is hidden but this adds to protection and looks good as well.

Expandable sleeves
Easy to use. Perfect size for what I did with them. Protection was good. It is a sturdy sleeve. Held up to what we used them for. Performed the function needed

Excellent, good looking cable cover
Sturdy, but melts easily of you use a heat shirk tube over it's termination. Be careful with your heat.

Smaller Diameter than I thought, but expands well
I ordered this to put 3 - 20’ 1/4” guitar instrument cables in that run from my pedal board to my amp. It was very tight, and my wife helped me to get them in, but the end result looks great! I like the black and silver design, plus it doesn’t “feel” cheap. After I got what I needed, I cut off the excess and burned the ends with a lighter. I also ordered some heat shrink tubing to put on the ends where the sleeve and cables meet (I would highly recommend doing so).Be careful when using a heat gun close to it, as it burns very easily. After cutting off the excess, it will fray very easily and quickly if you don’t burn the ends.

Solid value for price with some flexibility on fit
I've purchased the 1/4" size sleeving a few different times, for use in dressing up speaker wire. The 1/4" size fit both 14/2 and 12/2 copper wire with no issues. The 12/2 was more of a snug fit, but not at all a problem to put on, and I'd say "snug" is a good thing overall. If you haven't worked with this type of sleeve / jacket before, it's worth knowing that the weave means it expands and contracts in width like the classic "Chinese Handcuffs" toy - press a length in and it gets wider, pull tight and it constricts. The snug fit over 12/2 wire might mean you don't get a full 30' of length, but I'd expect you could easily make a 25' speaker cable, or 2 cables at 12.5', with one jacket. The 30' length converts to 10 M in metric if you are looking at options labeled that way. There's an Alex Tech branded cable jacket available that I think offers a slightly better feel - the weave is a bit tighter and the jacket feels softer and closer to a fabric type weave, while this one can feel a bit plastic-y. But the Alex Tech product only offers solid black and two basic color patterns, while this one offers more color / pattern options and comes at a good price. Once it's installed, you will appreciate the cool look, but aren't likely to spend a lot of time rubbing the cable to see how it feels. If you're making speaker wires, pairing this with some heat shrink tubing, "cable pants", and banana clips can deliver a pretty good look and finish with a minimal effort. One thing to note is that the cable will fray at the ends when cut with a knife or scissors. If you have a hot knife, it's a great tool to use here. If not, you can get by with only a little sloppiness melting the cut ends with a lighter or candle flame. Heat shrink tubing will cover it anyways. Cable pants aren't the focus here, but in case it's helpful to anyone sorting out sizing, I bought 6mm, 8mm, and 10 mm options, branded Parts Express. I managed to get the 6mm on the 14/2 wire, but it was a huge and frustrating effort to make it happen, and definitely too tight to fit the 12/2. I'd look to the 8mm or 10mm options. Getting the 6mm on the 14/2 felt like someone spending 90 minutes to get into some ultra skinny jeans that don't really fit anymore.Dressing up speaker cables is mostly a vanity project, but it was fun and satisfying and I'm happy with the results. I liked it enough that I may use some scraps and extra pieces to cover lamp cords and other exposed wires around the house. If you're someone that thinks about wire management and aesthetics, this stuff can be an interesting tool in your arsenal. And I'd say this particular product is a fine one.

1/2" works on RCA Cables
I used the 1/2" (Silver and Black) on my RCA cables for my car audio install (with white heat shrink to hold the ends). It's a snug fit to wiggle both RCA ends into the cable and start snaking it down the cable, but the fit is pretty good once it's all pulled through and snug, with heat shrink holding the ends.It will frey quickly if you don't melt the ends after snipping them.I used the 1" for my 0 gauge and 4 gauge power wires (Red / Black with red heat shrink for positive & Blue / Black with black heat shrink for the grounds). 1" is way too big for the 4 gauge, but I didn't want to order more just to make it fit better.I'm using the 3/8" for my (14 gauge and 16 gauge) speaker wires (Silver / Black) but I haven't worked on that part of my installation yet. This stuff is great to disguise same color wires. I have a roll of red 0 gauge wire and a lot of different colored 4 gauge wire, so I wrap it in this stuff to designate pos/neg, and you can't tell once it is all wrapped up. It also makes some of my cheaper looking RCA cords look very nice after they've been covered.

Great product, trick to installation
I almost rejected this until I figured out how to use it. You have to expand it, when putting it on, by pushing it sideways between your two hands, at the end of the wire that is somewhere in the middle of this product. You then slide that expanded part down the wires and it moves the whole piece farther down. When expanded it almost looks like a snake that ate a meal. The quarter inch size was perfect for running two wires down each side of my trailer.
