Whilst not quite professional grade this bit pillow does the trick for my Mali. She loves it and will work with me until one of us tires. We're careful not to let her have it as a reward after a session for too long. She would quickly destroy it but used with care it's lasted well.

My dogs love this thing! The handles start to fray even when you try not to let them bite the handles. But for the price it’s made well.

I have been working with my Malinois/Dutch Shepherd on bite work and this has been a great training tool. He can get a really good grip on the pillow and it's held up really well. The handles are a great size for me with my small hands but also for my male friends who have much larger hands and help out. I'm also glad it comes in yellow because other than Desert Camo Tan or Coyote Brown, yellow is his alt color for his gear! My Mali gets super stoked when the pillow comes out!

Ok…this is a reasonably tough toy. However, in 1 day my 3 month old cocker pup had one of the handles stripped sown to the plastic underneath! So, not exactly indestructible.

This is our favorite toy by far! It’s got plenty of area, thickness, and padding for my 95 lb Belgian Malinois to get a great grip with his whole mouth, and it’s got thick, rounded handles for me. Rope style toys feel like I’m going to rip his k9 teeth out since those are the only ones really gripping, but this one is comfortable enough for him to pull with his full strength. Other bite pillows have plain strap handles that get bitten off faster and feel like they are cutting my fingers off. As with any other bite pillow, this is not a chew toy. If I let my dog chew on it he would destroy it in about 30 seconds. It is very durable when used only as a tug toy as intended.

Thick bite area with three handles makes this a perfect tug toy for my dog. I have a 75 pound female Malinois who loves to play tug. With this toy she can get a strong bite without it coming loose in her mouth as with thinner bite toys. The handles make it easier for me to hold on to when she’s thrashing around. This is NOT a chew toy to be left laying around the house. This is a working toy that can be used to really tire out a dog. A tired Mal is a good Mal.😁

I always start my dogs with lure chasing or ball retrieval before I graduate them onto tug. Knowledgeable dog people will know why. Most dogs will want to grab the handles or your hands , that is natural . One has to patiently teach them to grab the center and then they must be immediately rewarded with you tugging. If the dog still goes for the ends or the handles then stop playing and keep everything still ( the "prey" is dead) . This pillow is sturdy and the handles are very comfortable. I use this toy only for instructive play ; I initiate the game and I also end it. This pillow is never left around for it is NOT a chew toy and not meant for the dog to self-soothe with. My initiating the tug game brings the pillow "to life" and that is why the dog's focus is on me.
