Was is the height of the landing gear (from ground to mounting hole)?

The Dubro 789 Landing gear is 4 1/2 inch from top to wheel axle. It is 3 5/8 across the top and 14 1/2 inch span at the bottom. An excellent product. I own several and have not experienced a breakage.

Does this come with the wheels and axles or just the mount?

Just the mount. You purchase the appropriate wheels and axles separately and based on your plane and the field you will fly from. I found it very easy to drill and install my axles. I fly from a grass field and have had many crash landings and these mounts spring back to their original shape. They also keep the wheels aligned during takeoffs from our grass field.

What are the dimensions of the gear? not the package! how high? what's the spread between wheel mounts? how wide is the mounting area on the top?

14" wide at wheel mounting holes, 5" from mounting base to bottom of gear, mounting area is 2" wide X 3 1/2" across. This gear is way better than the wire gear that came with my plane. Hope this helps.

What is the height from the bottom of the wheels to the top of the aluminum?

5" from top to axle hole. Height from bottom of wheels to top will depend on size of wheels you use. Strut is fiberglass, not aluminum, which is much stronger.
