Highly recommended for Canon SX50HS
Purchased this kit after reading numerous reviews and recommendations on both Amazon and a number of other digital camera sites.Product arrived at delivery addressed promptly. The adapter ring fits to the camera perfectly 'snug tight'. Interestingly the Canon OEM ones that we tried when buying the camera were a 'loose' fit. Not so loose as to fall off but loose enough to be a concern. The filters supplied with this kit fit the adapter as they should and it is reassuring to now have a UV filter protecting the lens. The lens shade is excellent and can see it being used often if not as a permanent fixture!.This is kit is very good value for money and can see a lot more of these heading 'down under' where we are starved of simple good quality value adding camera accessories.Highly recommended if you have or are purchasing a Canon SX50HS

Four or Five Stars Depending Upon Needs
I just got back from the rarefied air at 8,000+ feet at Yellowstone and Grand Teton National parks. There was still a lot of snow on the ground and Yellowstone Lake was 90% frozen. NOW I remember why I wanted to get the UV filter for my SX50!The last time I was there was 1978, and my standard 35mm lenses all had a UV filter, plus I had bought a polarizing filter (which cost $85 by itself). That said, today with digital photography, polarizing can be done with software. (There's also a strong tendency to overuse polarizing filters when today, you can compensate with a highesr speed and a lower ISO for the contrast needed.) I had/have no need for a florescent filter, and I find the lens hood more obtrusive than useful except under very unusual conditions at full wide angle. Because of this, I don't need a carrying case for the two filters I won't be using. But I did want the UV filter when I got back. In order to use the UV filter, I needed an adapter for the SX50, and then I would need a lens cap. (I've discussed the fantastic microfiber cleaning cloths by Goja under a separate review.) I tried the UV filter today, and it works very well and, of course, protects your lens as a bonus. The filter, adapter, and lens cap (the essentials) are worth the price that Goja gets for the whole kit and kaboodle, but I do wish that Goja would sell just the essentials as a package. Those would get 5 stars. I'm taking off from the overall rating because I had to get the extraneous stuff. P.S. Because of past dealings, the company will always get 5 stars from me.

Altered Image Quality
I will start out by saying that this purchase arrived quickly and was as described. The items are all of good quality and were easy to use. The adapter ring was not hard to attach to the camera lens but be advised that the filters do not screw in tightly, they will move around, although they don't fall off, they won't feel like they are completely secure. The lens cover also fit perfectly. The lens hood is heavier than you might think and will add weight to your camera. The lens cloth is great and the filters and cloth fit nicely in the carry case which is easy to put in a camera bag or purse. The reason for my three-star review is due to the quality of the photos I achieved after installing the filters. I have had amazing results with my Cannon Powershot SX50 and have gotten rave reviews from friends and family on my photos. When I first purchased the accessory kit, I was hesitant to try and use it because my photos were already so good. We took a long vacation right after I received my order and I was too worried about screwing things up to attempt to use the accessories. I finally got brave this past weekend, when we went on a birding trip to a local wildlife refuge. When I got home and uploaded my photos, I could have cried. Most of them were blurry, soft, unusable. The kit does not come with any type of instructions whatsoever. I think my mistake was that I put the UV filter on first because the reviews all stated the UV filter was for lens protection only. I then attached the lens hood and then the polarizing filter. This was probably my big mistake as I don't believe the filters should be stacked at all. After the first half of our outing, I checked my images on the LCD screen and that is when I panicked, seeing how bad they were. At the time I blamed it on the extra weight of the hood throwing the camera off balance and causing the blur. I then removed the lens hood and the UV filter and finished the day with just the polarizing filter (because it was an extremely sunny day) and my images for the second half of the day were much improved. I actually wrote about the debacle of my ruined photos on my blog and it was a professional photographer friend who told me that stacking the filters is probably what caused the problems.I am not sure if I will try again with these accessories or not. Personally, I think this is a case of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I was achieving very good quality photos without the accessories and now I'm very uncertain if I want to experiment with them again. If I do so, it will be around home when I'm not on a special outing wanting to get extra-great images. My advice to those purchasing is to play around with everything and take many practice shots with them before going on a special trip, vacation or outing with your camera. And be warned that the hood will add weight and bulk to your camera. If you are an older person with weaker hands, this does make a difference in both carrying the camera around your neck for any length of time and holding it up for long periods when shooting things like birds. I do a lot of bird photography and found it much harder to focus on the birds with the hood on.Including instructions with the kit would probably be helpful for those of us who are not experienced photographers.

Almost 5 stars
Just got this. As promised the 58mm filter adapter does not cause vignetting even when the SX50 is at widest angle. The rubber hood, however, does show vignetting there. This can be overcome as long as you remember to retract the hood with your fingers when shooting wide-angle - just something to keep in mind. I was very pleased that a lens cap was included to fit the filters, since the original lens cap no longer works when filters are mounted. The leash on the new lens cap is flimsier than the original and the new lens cap lacks the little clip that comes with the original cap, which let you clip it to the camera strap. I *really* liked clipping the lens cap to the camera strap and I'm going to miss that ability with this new cap.The filters look to be of decent quality. The filter adapter mounts easily and firmly. All in all, a quality package. I don't get to rate it 4.5 stars, so I'm going with 4.

Great price and so far
This kit was definitely a bargain! Great price and so far, no issues with any of the items. I actually much prefer the lens cap cover in this kit to Canon's own cover as it pinches and holds much more securely! And the filters fit perfectly onto my camera. Great buy!

Great adapter ring for SX50
I bought this mainly for the adapter ring, UV filter and lens cap. The adapter rings for the SX50 fit on easily. It is metal and labelled as designed in Halifax. I think it's better than Canon's plastic one, and less expensive.Filters screw onto the adapter easily. The rubber hood can't stay on its middle position, collapse too easily. The 3 pieces I wanted from this kit (adapter ring, UV filter and lens cap) work good. The CPL filter and microfibre cloth may be useful. The rest are just bonus junk. 5 stars for the 3 pieces I wanted considering the total price + shipping.I ordered 2 kits. One kit did not arrive before 24-Dec 2013 as promised, hence minus 1 star. GOJA did ship out both quickly, and quickly communicated that 2 parcels (with 2 tracking #s) are coming, not one as stated by Amazon.ca. Kudos to GOJA here. Both kits arrived in Vancouver before the storm hits the NE, so that storm is not the reason for the delay to me. Goja/Amazon needs to do better in estimating the shipping times.

Very good
The item arrived earlier from the schedule. This kit is very good, the adapter ring fit perfectly on the lens, in order to make it tight you have to turn clockwise until get 'click'. The quality of the kit is also good. Overall I'm very satisfied. Recommended for Canon SX50HS owner.
