Strathmore (463-42 400 Series Mixed Media Roll, Vellum Surface, 42" x8 Yards

This brand will do it everytime! Great thick paper that handles all the mediums I use (acrylic paint, gouache, oil pastel, colored pencils, etc..). I love the black color, it really makes my art standout. There's also never any warping, never any product issues as a whole. The paper also cuts nicely if you need to resize. Overall, I love my purchase and will continue using this brand.

Love this paper. Works like the other colors of mixed media paper. The only downside: it tears easily when removing masking tape compared to the other colors of Strathmore mixed media paper. Strathmore mixed media papers are my go to. I tape down the paper to a board, and use gouache or watercolor. Even if i use heavy washes, the paper dries flat. I dint have to prewet the paper before I tape it.

Excellent! Fantastic paper! My china marker & charcoal glides around the paper like a hot knife through butter lol. Good price. Nice product. Fast. I placed an order with a DIFFERENT seller on Amazon for this same item, same size 18x24 black mix media paper and it showed up wrong size (they shipped me 8x10 for $50!) so I was THRILLED to receive this top notch paper for half the price I spent at the other store.

I e used a good deal of strathmore products and can’t wait to try my new pencils on this paper! And the different tones work well

These are my favorite sketchbooks to use for mixed media. They’re especially great if you use alcohol-based markers; the pages don’t bend and don’t bleed through. The only thing keeping this from a five star is the sketchbooks came in damaged due to thoughtless and nonsensical packaging. Ive included pictures showing how the paper packaging cause the books to come with bent corners and creased pages.

This is GREAT paper for mixed media and gouache, not so much watercolor. Heavy weight prevents warping

I love the feel and texture of this paper. The grey color is outstanding. I'm looking forward to using metallic markers on it and some tracing of images I'm not really very good at sketching

It's Strathmore. Can't go wrong with this brand. If you aren't buying exotic papers, Strathmore is the way to go. Been using this brand for a very long time. This is a black pad of mixed media paper. I can't wait to play! It is thick so you can truly get it wet with your acrylics, water colors, etc. You can also use it for your charcoals and pencils. This is nice with charcoals. I have tried to go cheaper that offers mixed media paper in more pages per order. Most are not truly mixed media. Most are not thick enough to use wet mediums even though they say you can. If Strathmore says it's for mixed media, you can trust the info.
