Great book as an introduction to graphics for landscape architecture students
Great guide and reference in preparing materials to introduce technical drawing to landscape architecture students. Content is organized well and there are plenty of samples shown to illustrate the topic. Print copy is small enough while the kindle copy makes it easy for me to check something from the book across devices.

Great book for students getting degree in Landscape Design
I gave it 4 stars only because it didn't quite fit what I needed. It went much deeper, very detailed. for someone getting a degree in Landscape Design.I own a landscape and pruning company, am a Master Gardener and we have our own in house horticulturalist. Yes there are many things we can use. but for our designs it is too detailed.

Great landscape reference
I've been taking some course work that requires doing landscape designs. This book has been very useful in developing a starting point to developing my own style of landscape graphics to use in my design work. The step by steps are clear enough to allow you to recreate similar style graphics, but not broken down to each line which saves space. :)I have not had an opportunity to compare this to the more recent edition, but based on the graphics I'm seeing in design samples offered by instructors, not much has changed other than you might be using a digital medium instead of a drafting board.

Lifesaver
I switched my major to LA as a junior. I was very behind and put on a fast track to graduate in the five years. This book has saved me so many times. Everyone else in my studio had taken graphics classes that explained how to draw trees and textures and so on, and this book helped me keep up. Has plenty of examples of trees in plan, trees in section, paths, textures, covers, water, people, sections ideas, so on!

Required Reading Material for College Class
Although this was a required textbook for my landscape drafting class, this is a book with a ton of great info, that i will rely on for years to come.

Required textbook
Exactly as expected. The book contains examples and how-to's for hand rendering landscape graphics and was extremely helpful in my Landscape Architecture drafting class. I generally try to sell back my textbooks once a course is finished but I plan on keeping this just because it was so beautifully laid out, easy to use, and an extremely helpful reference.

Terrific book for learning graphics and as a reference
I purchased this book as required per my Landscape Architecture graphics class at Ohio State University and 5 years out of college and I see refer to this book when I need help with my graphics or to use a new technique. Landscape Graphics gives you a step by step process on how to create trees, perspectives, ect; in addition to pages of graphic samples of people, ground covers, trees, shrubs, plan views, sections, lettering, and vehicles.I would highly recommend this book to anyone who sketches, or creates graphics in the architectural/landscape architectural field.

Great for all architectural students!! 10 star rating!!!!
As an architect undergraduate... I always struggle with drawing the context on my plan, section and elevation drawings. So I got this to hopefully help. Well... I couldn't have asked for better!! It has all sorts of species of trees, shrubs, plants and step by step drawings of how to create the finished article... also along side full example drawings of full sketches. I feel this is a highly valuable resource to accompany your studies. In uni... you get taught how to draw builings correctly... but I feel context is kind of left up to you to figure out. I wish I had this book from the beginning of my degree as it will really help your drawings come to life!!! 10 star rating!!!!!

Best book on teaching Landscape Architecture hand drawn graphics, in the last decade
Best and most influential of all my 1st year Landscape Architecture books. I read it cover to cover in one sitting (it's illustrative!), soaked up it's teachings over a week and have positively reflected it's style for over a decade now and reaped in many compliments along the way. I followed it's lessons in hand lettering title graphics, copied it's calligraphic style, diagrammatics and landscape iconography by sitting down and literally copying as closely as I could, now it comes to me naturally, with ease. Go for it! May it bring you lots of design confidence and pleasure

Excellent !!!!!!
I simply love this book, it is so detailed and descriptive, it does what it says. I bought this book as a reference guide for a project that i am doing, it covers all areas of landscape design that you can imagine. The author has though this through really well. It is very specific and can be used by all designers for work purposes. I cant see that anyone will find it a problem to understand or read. I love this book and would recommend it to all of those who are looking to translate their ideas onto paper.well written :)

Garden graphics as she is drawn
Brilliant study of graphics in garden design, ideal for dummies like me who would like to start drawing garden design plans but haven't a clue how. Probably too simple for the monty Dons amongst you but for the lowly novice, very useful indeed
