I get my hair relaxed during the Winter, and braided during the Summer. I use a dark brown rinse color on my hair, at the salon. I used the "PhytoSpecific PhytoRelaxer Index 2 - Normal, Thick, Resistant Hair" two/ 02 weeks ago, for the first time. I did not use the" PhytoSpecific PhytoRelaxer Index 1 - Delicate, Fine Hair" because my hair is kinky/ curly/ thick. You have to use the relaxer that is right for your hair type (+texture). I love this hair relaxer. My hair did not fall out. My edges are smooth. My hair is silky, shiny, strong, healthy, and growing. I got my hair done at the salon: Kadie Kalos Braiding and Styling in Woodbridge, Virginia, on 4219 Dale Blvd, (703) 730-1818. Kadie does any type of hair service. My scalp only burned a little not a lot. I used two/ 02 boxes of relaxer. I will review the Phyto Paris shampoo and conditioner latter. This product did not damage or discolor my hair. My hair is better than ever. This relaxer is supposed to be more natural and better for you health. Phyto products have been around for several years. Phyto products are more expensive than other hair products but they are totally worth the money. You can buy Phyto hair products on Sephora or desertcart.com. Review: Phyto is the best relaxer! - At first I was hesitant to spend $65 dollars on a high end hair relaxer when I could have went spent less than $10 bucks on a cheap one. But I'm SO happy I spend the extra bucks because my hair looks amazing and so much more manageable. I relaxed it after trying the "natural" hair thing for over a year and a half and just got sick of everyday gels and having to flat ironing my hair all the time. Also, the longer my "natural" hair got, it became less manageable for me. After I went to bed that night when I used the Phyto relaxer my hair did not revert back, and stayed straight. I even got a light drizzle of rain on my hair 2 days later and my hair still is straight. This product is well worth the money. Oh and so easy to DIY at home. It's also suppose to be made of natural ingredients ( an added bonus for me). I'm in love with Phyto's relaxer and will definitely be buying again.

Phyto is the best relaxer!

It may be a little expensive, but it is ...
It may be a little expensive, but it is worth it. I can put this perm in my hair and have no shedding, and my hair feels strong. The box perms in the store i have to do too much maintaining and balancing my hair ph for it not to fall out. Make sure you follow direction, and you will have no problems with this perm.

Damaged 3 months of new growth!
This is my 3rd purchase that I have made of this product, and this is by far the worst. I was very skeptical about Phyto Specific because my hair is extremely thick and I burn very easily with relaxers. The first purchase was the best, it worked like a charm and I had no problems afterwards. My second purchase worked well, however, there was a crusty film over the top. Even with scraping it off there were still what I like to call "perm chips" in the relaxer. I applied the perm as normal and had to get another person to pull the "perm chips" out of my hair. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. It took us 45 extra min and 4 washes to get ALL the "perm chips" out. Needless to say, I am one of those customers that realize there are such things as bad batches of products and went ahead and made a 3rd purchase. This was by far the worst. Again, it had the "perm chips" covering the surface of the relaxer before mixing it. This didn't take as long since I had a method to getting them out (but who wants to deal with it if you don't have to), but it also burned my scalp...and I applied a base to my scalp. I know the product had to be bad because I based my scalp and the area that burned was not scratched prior to the perm which was applied last to the area that burned. I was more upset the next morning because the hair in the burned area looked burned...literally. It looked all kinky and dry like I lit a match to my hair. I combed it carefully and long strands of my hair started coming out in the sink. The more I combed the more it fell out. Without saying a word, I lifted up my hair to show my son and he asked me why my hair was so short and dry looking. I was mad for 2 reasons: 1. I have been stretching my perms to 3 months to keep my hair healthier and prevent overlapping the perm. Before my perm I had 3 inches of new growth...but you can't tell since my hair is burnt looking and feeling. The second reason I'm upset is that I wasted $65 on something that made my hair look and feel worse that it did before the process! If you make this purchase make sure that you don't have any "perm chips" left in your hair, base your scalp and put some type of oil on your already processed hair.

Use with extreme caution
I'm mixed as to what I should rate this.. It worked extremely well as a relaxer on my hair and yet while following all the instructions including the usage of the included "precare balm" (vaseline) I still ended up with 2nd degree chemical burns. Areas around my hairline where the relaxer came in contact briefly before being wiped away and the back of my neck are red and in some spots oozing from where the top layer of skin was chemically melted away despite being covered with the vaseline protectant (keep in mind this was clean, healthy, unbroken skin). I've used many other relaxers over the years which weren't marketed as "derived from all natural ingredients" and never got burned like this. Bottom line, it works great on hair but absolutely do not allow it to come in contact with your skin or you'll regret using the product.

The best, on the market!!!
Before my hair was altered by chemo treatment, this perm was the safest & best, for my hair texture. I really miss using it as a texurizer. I have no alternative, but to do without perms!!! If Phyto comes out with a milder version, I'd definitely try it!!!

I have previously been put off getting this relaxer due to the price as all the others I have used were sub-£10. But i read about this in a magazine and heard that famous celebs use this relaxer so I decided to give it a go. I have also been using the Phytospecific hair care range which has transformed my hair. In terms of the relaxer box contents it is no different to what you get to other relaxers - 1 big pot of relaxer cream to which you add the activator, some pre-treatment cream (seems like petroleum jelly), colour changing shampoo and an aftercare conditioner. One thing I noticed is that the relaxer didn't smell, normally with other relaxers there is a really strong smell but it was nice to not have that. Also with previous relaxers after a few minutes I would experience slight stinging on the scalp. I didn't experience this at all with the Phytospecific relaxer. The results were still great though, my hair seems to have been relaxed better than ever and 2 weeks on my hair feels healthier than ever. You get what seems like a full size conditioner with the pack so this can be used until the next time your hair needs relaxing. Overall I would highly recommend this. It is a bit pricey but you can easily get two treatments out of 1 pack.

I have used this product many times in the past. I've bought this from Sephora before and twice from Amazon in the last 2 years. I've also used the Index 1 when Index 2 wasn't available. In those many times that I've used this product (and Index 1) I never had a problem, not once! But this time was different. I had huge hair loss - while shampooing, while combing and after my hair has dried out. I have healthy thick hair and can afford to lose a few strands, but not this much! There was so much hair loss it looks like the image on movies about cancer patients losing hair due to chemotherapy. Needless to say it was scary! I had the treatment yesterday and I'm due to take a shower today, but I'm so scared to go through the same amount of hair loss as I had yesterday - I can't have that same amount of hair loss every day I shampoo my hair or I'll go bald within a week! One thing to mention, the cream base had a leak on the foil cover. A section of the foil was not properly glued to the lid, hence the cause of the leak. The box was still sealed and I'm not sure the leak has anything to do with my hair loss. I advice anyone to think twice before using the product. I will never buy the Index 2 again. Depending on how the hair loss progress in the following days, I may consider using Index 1 in the future, but not Index 2 again. Be very careful, ladies.

Also ich nahm (1.) 15 ml Inductor, (2.) Schließlich schreiben die «for 1 full application OR 2 touch ups»!
