The perfect towel!
This is the best bath towel I have ever used. It is think, not thick, and you think, how can this ever do a good job? It is super absorbent, incredibly fast drying and rough enough that it is a good skin stimulant. I absolutely love it and it washes well, has aged well (now 2 years old and still perfect). I'm ordering more of this wonderful product.

Just like the very upscale
I live in Beaufort, SC, and there is a very upscale little shop that carries high quality linens, and caters to the wealthy . They had similar towels like this that sold for $70 each. I was questioning the owner about their value, and she said the yacht people came in and bought them for their boats because they dried so quickly. I found these on Amazon and decided to give them a try as they looked similar. These things rock! They are lightweight so no more pulling on the towel hooks, which the heavy spa towels did. They absorb the water off the body quickly,, and dry in humid conditions.. Also, very little time in the dryer, and less space in the closet. From now on, only these towels ! Be sure to wash them first and use a softener . I love the white crisp look; very clean and contemporary.

Fantastic Towels. would recommend
These towels take a little bit of breaking in. The first couple uses, they are not the softest towels, though they are absorbent. After 2 or 3 washes (at first I washed them every 4 or 5 uses), they tightened up, got softer, and are the best towels I've owned. I bought a few more for myself, and am arranging for a set of them to be given as a wedding gift to one of my best friends. You have to be willing to put a few weeks on them, but it is worth it.

Great for hair towel
Most of the hair towels on the market are small or an odd shape. I wanted a really lightweight towel that I could specifically use to turban wet hair. It's perfect in every way. It absorbs way more than an average towel because I can twist it so tightly. The best part is it is so light and dries fairly quickly. A great upgrade if you are tired of a 3lb wet towel on your neck that is still wet the next day! After about 6 months of daily use it has not frayed, but is slightly discolored. Despite it being a fantastic towel for hair, it would be a ridiculously bad "regular" towel because it is so thin and it's not soft. To each their own. I only purchased one for my hair, but will continue to purchase over the years as I wear it out.

Wonderful Low Profile Travel Towel
Wonderful towel! I wasn’t sure it would have any absorbency as it’s very light and thin. I washed it before use according to the instructions. I line dried, I love stiff towels. This thing dries off wonderfully! I was very surprised. Much thinner than a regular towel and just as effective. I’ll be buying more for family. I’m a fan!

I really wanted to love these...
Well, I have long history of being annoyed with towels. Early on, I’d buy cheap towels that would shed fuzzy linty fuzz everywhere – I even had a set of towels that I was forced to wash TEN TIMES before they finally stopped shedding lint. Another issue I’ve had is with towels being thick and fluffy, and thus comfortable, but taking ages to dry. Not so good for mildew and freshness. Is there not a towel out there that’s thin enough to dry quickly, comfortable to use, and doesn’t shed lint?! Well, when I came across these Gilden towels, I thought I had found my solution! Indeed, they are quick-drying, and there’s no lint! There’s even the plus of them not taking up as much space in storage due to their size. However, the failure is with the “comfortable to use” part. Unfortunately, these things are rather scratchy and not-soft. Don’t get me wrong, they aren’t terrible or anything and absorb water well, and if I needed a travel/gym towel, this would be great for that, but they don’t invoke feelings of luxury or enjoyment while you’re using them. That’s too bad, as I really wanted to love these and replace all my old towels with them. As it is, I think they are overpriced for what you get. If you do need a travel/gym towel, this will do the job well, but I wouldn’t use it for everyday use. I'm going to keep searching for the perfect towel, in the meantime.

Eco Friendly Spa Feeling
These towels are really great! They feel like a spa towel that doesn't weigh you down. They have a lot of room to wrap around your body and they easily hold the wrap because they are so light. Moreover, you do not have to toss the towel after a few uses because they dry very quickly verses a terry cloth towel. Terry cloth towels sometimes start smelling moldy because they take longer to dry. Also, the towels dry very quickly in the dryer which saves on my electric bill. So they are eco friendly because you can use them several times before they need cleaning and when you dry them in a dryer, they dry very quickly. I only wish they weren't so expensive.

Why did I ever use a towel w/ pile?
This towel arrives a bit larger than stated, possibly to allow for shrinkage. It has a wonderful, dense cotton weave that absorbs better than you can imagine, is very comfy to use, and dries quickly enough to avoid the danger of mildew so it may be used more than once before washing it. If your climate allows an outdoor line for hang-drying clothes, these can be dried that way, unlike pile towels. They also dry faster in an electric dryer, making them eco-friendly. They must be made with a fairly long-staple cotton because they leave no lint on you. The ones I bought (white) are consistent in tone from one towel to the next. In short, a quality product.
