I have the front 6 piston brembos with the lovely two piece rotors.  will the z26 pads be kind to these very expensive rotors?

Well to answer your question on how will they treat your rotors is like this. I have 2 Hell Cats. One is my street have fun driver the other is for track. I went with the Z26 all 4 replacements on the street one. The Z26 is a harder compound then the stock brembo pads and cause more rotor wear then the stock pads. The reason the brembo’s cause so much brake dust is because it’s a softer compound so every time you hit the brakes the pads are what getting worn not the rotors. The carbon fiber strands (carbon fiber is stronger then steel)  bite into the metal and over time wear the rotors.

Look at it like this, when you buy high mileage long lasting pads for a regular every day car those pads beat up a rotor and reason is they are a very hard compound material, that’s how they get the high mileage out of them.

So to sum up my experience its like this. Z26 pads + longer lasting, a lot less dust. - is less braking power and visible rotor wear and probably will have to get new rotors when you need new pads.

Brembo pads + A lot less visible rotor wear over time and amazing braking power - is dust galore and not as long lasting.

Isn't this for the front (z26-1405)?  at least per powerstop website - and the rear is z26-1053?...why does this listing say "rear"?
