Instructions on bottle also say you can open capsules and take as a tea, so that's how I am going to try it out. I like that this is an option vs taking a pill. I notice it seems to sink to the bottom of the warm water , but I just keep stirring it right before I take a sip. Not the best tasting but I can manage. We'll see how this does. Note also instructions say take with food up to 3x daily.

Took as per directions on the bottle for 1 month. Lowered my ALT from 59 to 46 (reference range 0-44). Would have kept taking it for another month to get my ALT lower, but it caused me to have some moderate depression and anxiety (common side effects), so I'm gonna try TUDCA instead (can't do NAC because I can't catch a nicotine buzz on it).

Milk thistle is perfect to eliminate hangovers. Take a couple before I know I am going to do some heavy drinking and a couple more before I go to bed. Works perfectly. I never have a hangover. Would highly recommend it.

It REALLY works! I used it in 2 of my dogs. One of them, Jerry, 12 years old Collie, has a 6cm tumor on liver, found it in April on an anual ECO control, and although benign, has altered him internally. His liver values (enzimes and lipidic values and cholesterol) were a mess. Another one, Jr, 9 years old Collie, had inflamed liver and goldbladder (English not my first language so appologies in advance for gramatical errors), and even higher levels of fat and cholesterol in blood. Their Vet put them both on same treatment: Milk Thistle with lunch (different dosage each as they weight different), 1 Omega 3 super strenght capsule on evening, special diet (Royal Canin Weight Control), and 1 capsule of UDCA before bed. After 50 days we tested them both again (that's why I didn't review this and other products sooner: wanted to make sure about their effectiveness): Jerry has improoved A LOT! He still needs to continue treatment, as he turned out to be Hipothyroid as well and waiting also results for Cushing. His breath doesn't stink anymore, his appetite is normal again, his stamina too! Jr did even better! No longer needs Milk Thistle (I am now giving him a lower dose capsule per day for another month anyway to not lower dosage bruscally), no longer takes UDCA, yet still needs Omega and in higher doses (Vet believes could also be due to Cushing's as tested negative for Hipothyroidism). Trully recommend Nature's Bounty Milk Thistle: it was and still is a KEY INGREDIENT for optimum liver function and never caused any bad reaction. Hope it works for you too!
