MIK Solutions Underwater Light 172 - Solid Brass Underwater Pond Lights LED Submersible Waterfall Pool Pond Fountain Lighting Long Lasting IP 68 Waterproof Lighting with Connectors (No Bulb)

I bought these to replace two plastic lights that had sprung a leak and stopped working. These are more expensive but they are great lights. Solid, well-made, waterproof and the brass color is beautiful. They do require a transformer. We installed them under the water in a shallow pond shining up on a fountain. They are certainly bright enough at night and actually shine during the day, as well.

This underwater lamp is very well constructed. Made from heavy, precision machined brass. The lens is a thick, tempered glass. I have been using these in my pond for over 5 years - no corrosion, no leaks, no problems. I live in Virginia and leave them in the water year-round, too!

This is best underwater spotlight i've purchased. Before this I used the plastic lights which inevitably leak. This unit made of high quality materials (solid brass) and looks great. It is bright and i've had for a month and no issues. I bought a second one for my other fountain. It comes with led bulb and waterproof connector nuts which makes this a good value. Only concern I have is I read in another view company will only provide replacement gasket only if you purchased from them directly. Crossing fingers that this light lasts a few years as changing lights in a fountain is not a pleasant project I want to repeat.

I installed 2 of these pond lights in an outdoor fountain and used a low-voltage transformer and a photocell, all provided by MikSolutions. Believe me, these are high quality fixtures that once you look them over you will know they will last virtually forever. They are heavy enough that I didn't need to weight them down, even in the turbulence of the fountain. The class covers over the bulb are thick and fit perfectly into the groove of the gasket. The gasket is heavy silicone, I think, but either way it's not something I expect to break down over time. The cord is a very generous 25 feet long and is an actual 2-wire cord with each wire insulated separately in addition to the insulation of the full cord. The bulb contains 6 LEDs and maintains its brightness underwater. The seller maintains great customer service and answered my questions promptly by text while I considered my options and put the lighting package together for my fountain. I highly recommend MikSolutions and their products.

Unfortunately, this one falls in the category of lights that will fail within a short period of time. Looks good and appears to be heavy duty. But, not for underwater use.

Got fed up with fixing and repairing Malibu cheaply made underwater lights. I had gotten accustomed to them failing so I had a supply of 2 pin connectors and LED bulbs. The last one I repaired leaked in 24hrs so I was done. This is more expensive but well made. It’s very heavy and well made with brass fittings. Ensure you plug bulb in which took several tries then tighten housing. It looks professional grade!

Installed underwater in a concrete fountain. A few months in, these things are working flawlessly. No problems with water leaks. Bright, beautiful soft white illumination. Set on timer on at dusk, off 6 hours later. Made of solid brass and weighty af, this is a quality product that does exactly what it’s supposed to. Yes they’re pricey, but I was hoping to spend the money once and so far these lights have delivered.

I have been through a lot of cheap underwater lights. They always leak -- and fail. Then they need to be replaced. This time I decided to upgrade to a solid brass light. This one is really well built -- with a silicone seal and a replaceable bulb. I expect this light to last forever!

The brass light was very solid and seemed to be well made. But, unfortunately, I was not expecting to have to add an adapter and then wire it up. Just not what I was expecting.
