PR Replacement Humidifier Water Chamber for System One 60 Series (Original version)

I have an older Philips Respironics CPAP machine. Despite the fact that I snore like a chainsaw and have several apneic episodes a night, my sleep study came back inconclusive and I was denied a CPAP machine by insurance. Bummer. Fortunately I was in a position to buy one myself (expensive but worth it). Unfortunately, I'm on the hook for all consumables, and I'm keeping this thing alive as long as I can because getting another looks like a hit-or-miss proposition. When the plastic lid cracked on my original water tank , I got ready for the worst. Based on the price of the machine, I was convinced that Philips was really going to bludgeon me with the cost of a replacement (if I could find one at all). I was pleasantly surprised to learn that a new tank is around $15 and I could have it in a couple of days. Since CPAP machines are not commonly bought by individuals, I was happy that I could buy inexpensive parts myself. This tank is identical to the factory tank in my Respironics machine and fits perfectly. When I got it I washed it to remove any manufacturing residue, filled it with water, and put it to work. I rinse it out every morning and every so often I take it completely apart and scrub it to get rid of any scale or mineral deposits. No, I don't use distilled water in my CPAP machine despite the recommendations. My machine has been going strong for almost 10 years now without so much as a hiccup, and there's nowhere (besides the tank) for mineral deposits to build up so I'm not worried about it. I hope my CPAP machine keeps going for a while longer, and if I need another tank in the future (and if this one is still available), I'll buy it again.

I've been using the same CPAP machine for a long time. One of the items I have to replace from time to time is the water tank. This one fits the machine and does the job. The price is OK and it is delivered in a timely-enough way. All together, a good buy. With that said, its Achilles Heel is the release to take off the top of the tank. I fill it every night and drain it the next morning, so I take the top off once per day. Being that the release is hard plastic, it gets brittle over time and eventually breaks. I wish there was a different way to work it or it was made of more resilient material. So it goes.

Good fit and function

There was a problem with my shipment and these guys took care of it right away. The initial shipment of my CPAP humidifier chamber didn't arrive, although the tracking info said that it had arrived. My neighborhood is really safe, so I don't think that it was stolen, but none the less, we never saw it hit our front porch. When I contacted the seller through the Amazon link, they got back to me in less than 24 hours with the tracking number of another shipment, this time being sent via UPS rather than USPS. In a few days, I had my package. It fits and works like the original when it was new. The lid snaps on very firmly and makes a perfect seal. This was what I consider really fine customer service and a good product.

This old woman is curious why they would ask to rate a water tank, but they did. So, it’s a perfectly good functioning water tank. They do know there’s a big hole in the center right? Just kidding.
