(Damaged Book lol) - As an artist that heavily references the Persona style this art book was exactly what I was looking for. Great for anatomy construction of the style while the game books are focused on gesture/mood. Gotta learn how to walk before running. The book includes, character illustrations, design sheets, sketches, environments seen in the anime, and interview with the director. The environments is probably the highlight for me with each step in production noticable. I haven't fully read all the interview Q&A but one line from the book is a good start "that's right. They'd become something different" when asked if a line is left out when drawing the characters. I believe this is in relation to the hair drawn in the anime. On one hand I don't really think it's all that important to draw strands especially if it makes production harder as I find it difficult to see in the book on a still image for the darker hair characters. But the spirit to recreate the style is to be appreciated. Based on the cover art(I'm assuming it's drawn by the director) they recreated the style roughly well. But as a standalone illustration I would not be fooled that it was drawn by Soejima due to conflicting guidelines Soejima has for the Persona style when illustrating. No hate to the director they probably had to keep the style in tune with the animation. The book does NOT include, footnotes regarding the style or general notes that settai sheets would. The book doesn't scream "animators used this as reference during production" and feels more akin to a collage of artworks. Not a negative since it's unrealistic to ask of it as it is titled "artworks" not "settei sheet". Overall if you like the anime style then pick up the book. I didn't notice any bad pixelation as it all seem well printed. Based on the reviews each book will have some sort of damage unfortunately. My own personal gripe is no footnotes from animators besides the back with the interview of main director Masashi Ishihama Review: beautiful art - A great gift, came in excellent condition!

Amazing ART but Amazon why ???
The Persona 5 the Animation artwork is the best Art book that you would love to have on your gaming shelf. there are no pages that you would want to skip here. with there art concepts, designs and Beautiful landscapes you get a great Vision on how the persona 5 world really feels. The only down fall is that Amazon packaging may had have a tough delivery for my book but I didn't want to damage its reputation with this tiny dilemma. For me I enjoy a book with good characteristic to it ;3 Issue like these are a small chance to occur but for people that enjoy undamaged covers in there books be friendly with this advice.

Great buy for Persona 5 fans!
The Persona 5 Anime was very disappointing even though I agree that there was much good to take away from it such as its art which is featured in this book. I bought this to not only add to my Persona collection, but to admire the work put into the character designs, location designs, and other artwork featured in this book. I was not disappointed with my purchase! The book has a surprisingly smaller shape in comparison to other artbooks I own, but it is filled with hundreds of pages of Persona 5 artwork. I love having this in my collection and definitely recommend it for any Persona fans out there like me!

Great art book!
While the Persona 5 anime isn't on the same level as the original game, this artbook is a great addition to any Persona/SMT fan's collection. Love the quality and design of the book, and the content/illustrations are just as clean.

Love it
If you've seen the show, you'll know the animation of pretty awful. But the artwork itself was actually very well drawn. This book has a ton of great examples. The only thing it lacks is any real commentary from the artists. Still a fantastic buy

*** The book arrived in good condition. It is smaller than I thought. There is a lot of visual content and the quality is very good!
