I like collecting brass pans, pots, etc. This particular item was a very good fine. It is well-made and I am particularly fond of the hammered surface. It was larger than I thought it would be, which is fine with me. It is very solid and a very good weight. I am using mine to decorate the kitchen so I have yet to use it for cooking. It’s really too beautiful to use for cooking. Ha ha

Poor quality pot. I cooked a chicken rice soup, nothing complicated, and the pot immediately showed damage on the copper (dark small dots, the copper disappeared), the pot interior got a water level stain that would not go away upon cleaning. Careful cleaning, as directed by manufacturer. When I cooked the second soup, the damages increased, so I returned the product. I got refunded immediately.

Mostly what I expected. Good little copper pot. I was expecting it to be bare copper on the inside, as it says 100% copper but it has a tin layer for food safety. Since I bought this for my girlfriend to dye fabric in, bare copper is what I was looking for. Good news is muriatic acid stripped it away and I can confirm it is copper throughout and with little to no alloying. Reasoning for this is the acid eats the tin and any alloying element but not the copper.
