The cylinder had a very nicely honed microfinish, and the piston, rings, wristpin and keepers were all separately bagged. The tolerances and fits were outstanding. Using a split compression tool, the rings easily compressed and the cylinder slipped right over them. The engine started on the very first attempt, although I did operate the engine for several revolutions without the spark plug to allow oil to pump throughout. I highly recommend this kit. It even includes the air filter and a spark plug.
