These are very nice. I have used them plenty of times on multiple doors over the years. They are easy to adjust and come with the hardware and mounting diagram, if you need that. Generally I am replacing one that is already mounted but broken or worn out, this one has the round adjusting rod instead of the flimsy bars.

I installed the Lynn Hardware heavy door closer in my coffee shop about three months ago. People come and go all day, so you can imagine the door closer gets a lot of action. Build quality is fantastic as is adjustability (which is not always the case with door closers). Great instructions and templates. A couple weeks ago, I found that a pin had fallen out of the swing arm (an installation error on my part). The part is proprietary or at least is not something you can find in a hardware store. I went to the Lynn Hardware website and contacted them in the off chance they might respond. Sure enough, Brian, the owner, answered me in less than an hour. We confirmed the part and he was kind enough to throw a replacement in the mail. I received it in the next day or so, installed it, and were good to go. I contact manufacturers pretty regularly in my work and I can't tell you how rare and nice it was to reach out, get in touch, find a solution, and lightning quick, too! Really cool. I had a Global door closer that was leaking oil so I decided to go with this closer. The reasons I chose this one are the mounting holes were the same, the adjustability, and the life rating. Installing it was easy. I was able to use the old mounting screws from the Global unit. After installing, the closing speed, latching speed, and backcheck were all easy to adjust with the included Allen wrench.

Was easy to install but is extremely stiff and will not adjust to a lesser tension. Next time will make sure I order an AMA rated device.

Instructions are bad, but usable. Once installed it works great. It’s only been used for about a week, we will see how long it will last.

Over all a good sturdy product that you can tweak quite a bit to your liking. It has 4 different type of settings for you to customize the speed of the swing and the latch. For example I want my the door to close fast from the fully opened position but slow down right before latching as I hate the sound of the slamming door that makes the whole house vibrate. Customer service was great in answering questions, especially Brian helped me pick the right kind of closer as they multiple ones for Light to heavy duty doors. For another $40 you can buy an arm that will hold open the door a certain angle. I will install the new hold open arm and post a short video clip if possible.
