The Nutcracker Ballet (Step-Into-Reading, Step 3) Paperback – Picture Book, October 13, 1992

Got this book for each 2nd grade student. They loved the story and we did a whole unit on characters and plot, culminating with painting their own nutcracker and watching the NYC Ballet performance of The Nutcracker! A few of the books came apart with so many read throughs!

Bought this for daughter to familiarize her with the story line before we go to this ballet this winter. She liked it very much. Step inot Reading books are always winners on our list.

Really great way to introduce kids to this story. Great pictures, but the way the story is told simply and quickly is the best part.

Nice simple Nutcracker story read to my ballet students before their performance. Simple pictures &not too hard or long for group reading or older students to read to younger students. Mostly the traditional version - with the addition of Santa Claus's sleigh at the end? which is a Balanchine thing - We just didn't read the last page.

Beautiful book! Perfect for my first grade daughter.
