Quickly Biodegradable
This tape quickly degrades in sunlight. It is not described as rapidly biodegradable but it is. After 6-8 weeks over my garden it has broken into pieces and has blown around the yard. I have used tape like this in the past without these terrible results. Would never purchase this item again.

Did not work for us
It is a great concept and I read it worked for many. We have a very determined bird, I guess. It worked in the beginning but once she figured out they were not a threat, she ignored them and continued attacking our windows. We ended up covering the area with black plastic, finally worked.

Did the trick!
Birds had invaded my front porch, built a nest, and used the light fixture as their own personal bathroom. After getting that cleaned up, we tied this around the top of the light fixture and no more birds. The fixture is up high so you don’t really notice the shiny tape unless you just happen to look up. Even then it looks kinda fun and decorative We’ll see if they try to come back in the Spring.

Some Help in Deterring Pigeons in my Tree.
Have a problem with Pigeon droppings from a large Mesquite Tree next to my driveway. Tied about 6 strips that I cut from roll to about 2 feet long and tied them to some branches. The wind makes them move some and it does seem to help deter the Pigeons from sitting in my tree. Not 100% effective but they do help.

works but noisy
these strips are easy to cut to length, but challenging to hang up or attach. they are very light so the slightest breeze gets them to move so this works. if you have direct sunlight they also reflect at a high level, also good. in strong winds though they are VERY loud. good to scare the birds but irratating if you are sitting close to them (as we do on our patio)

FINALLY FOUND SOMETHING THAT WORKS!
This is such a great idea! Every year I have a woodpecker that pecks on my metal on my chimney and it scares my dog terribly. My dog gets so stressed. My husband went up on roof and put about 3 three foot strips on the chimney. My woodpecker hasn't been back since. Works beautifully!

Deters the birds
We used this tape to try to keep the birds from eating the newly sprouted pea shoots. Used netting last year, a nightmare trying to get them off the plants without tearing all the plants up. We tied strips of this tape onto supports and it worked!

Actually works!
I have the rods, the pinwheels, etc., but this is the only thing that works!. I make little streamers for the porch. The birds were starting to nest in my hanging pots! I tied some too it, but that didn’t work? The trick was to lay it down into the pot-they won’t land on it!
