Exactly What I Was Looking For
The media could not be loaded. I wanted a bulb for the front porch that emulated a lantern and this is it. First, the flame effect is not on a discernible loop—it’s spasmodic like a real flame. Secondly, the amount of light emitted is perfect for its application. I was hoping it wouldn’t be too dim to where it couldn’t function as a light, nor too bright to not be believable. The still image I attached represents its luminosity pretty accurately; the video certainly doesn’t, but it does demonstrate how the flame effect looks. There’s also apparently a gravity sensor of sorts so the flame rises up towards the base if it’s upside down. Oh—and you get two. A great purchase that I hope lasts.

Cool effect but these bulbs have big problems!
The media could not be loaded. The flame effect is really nice, but there were 2 major problems with these bulbs. I bought 6 for a rustic-type chandelier in which they'd look really great, however, when installed in the fixture all 6 bulbs flashed on and off, crazily and randomly! (See video) Must be some reason multiple bulbs cannot be used in one fixture, which is really dumb. I also tried them in other lamps and fixtures including 2 front porch lights and although they didn't do the crazy flashing thing, when the switch was turned off the bulbs flashed every few seconds, non-stop!. (Have video of this, but only 1 video is allowed per review) How can any bulb do this when the power is OFF? And who'd want bulbs that flash continuously when the power is turned off? Never seen anything like this. I've returned all of these bulbs.

Great flame effect LED bulb
Very pleased with the purchase of these bulbs. I spent quite a bit of time looking through the reviews and decided on the Beacon Lighting bulb. I used it in a lantern hung in a cupola on the roof of the barn/garage, and I have to say, the 'flame' looks VERY real. The bulb fits a standard socket, but the bulb itself is not much wider than the socket, so it would easily fit where even a normal bulb might not. As for the 'flame', it is indeed very real looking as it flickers, glows much like a flame would. I've seen other bulbs that appear to 'strobe', and that is not the case with this bulb. So pleased with the effect, I purchased a couple more...

Not very bright, but still good.
Was hoping these were a little brighter. I put two of them in a brick/glass installation piece but ended up using non-flickering lights instead b/c they were considerably brighter. I don't recall what these were rated, but the two 750 lumen bulbs I used instead put of much more light. Nothing wrong with these, but don't plan on much illumination.

100 year old Chapel Sconce Flame Bulbs
Installed 8 bulbs today in our 100 year old Chapel sconces (they were rewired for new electrical codes). They look GREAT! It adds a warm historical ambience to our historic Chapel. We highly recommend them.

Great effect!
I installed these lights in the two fixtures on the outside of my garage, and they looked exactly like vintage gaslights. The first night I got positive feedback from neighbors.

Great color
These have a nice amber color. The flicker rate is too high, I tried two bulbs in one lamp to help reduce how noticeable the flicker rate is hoping they would cancel each other out, but they’re just flicker to rapidly for my liking. Not a relaxing light for indoor ambience. Maybe better in an outdoor sconce.

Great flame effect
Great flame effect, in particular from a distance, neighbors liked it too...would recommend for every garage door or enteance light. Makes your home look more elegant in particular if you have nice looking light fixtures too
