Ridiculously overpriced? Yes. Best footrest ever? Also yes.
So I have been a desk jockey for over 20 years and have spent LOTS of money on footrests over the years. This is my favorite footrest out of the many I have purchased (over 8 different models). I like rocking footrests that move, I have found it makes a huge difference for me. My prior favorite was the Eureka Tilt ergonomic footrest at about $40. Super sturdy and has laster over 6 years. This humanscale footrest is everything the Eureka is, just a little bit better. Probably not as durable in the long term, but it is more comfortable, the rocking motion is far far superior, and it looks great vs the Eureka is kinda ugly. If you sit at a desk for a living treat yourself to this footrest and a nice chair. Yes they are expensive, but to protect your back and joints, it is CHEAP. Take care of your body!

Great Footrest - great addition to my home office
I have a great chair in my office, but my back would still get tense during the day. I decided to give adding a footrest a try. The Wirecutter (NYT) had this one as their upgrade pick, and it looked like an attractive bit of kit. On the very first day, it greatly improved my overall posture, and I felt better at the end of the day. After having this for a month, my wife wanted to use it. I was happy that she was interested and so pleased with the footrest that I ordered a second one so that we would both have one. I'm sure that other footrests would give positive results for increasing comfort during a day sitting in front of the computer. The Humanscale Footrest is very attractive, and I do enjoy the back and forth motion to keep your legs moving during long Zoom calls. It is a bit spendy when compared to other footrests, but if you are looking for something that is high quality and attractive, I would recommend the Humanscale.

Perfect! (almost)
What a great footrest. Your feet can easily glide between angles which is great for people who like to fidget, but can also hold a position with little effort! If I had to nitpick, the only issue is that it is impossible to lock at the max height. If you fully rest your feet on it, it will push back down. So as long as that's not an issue for you, you can't find a better option out there!

Love this footrest -adjustable, well made, and goes with my midcentury style room
I love this footrest. IT's well made, adjustable, and has really helped me with my lower back issues since it keeps me sitting up straight now that my feet can finally rest on a flat surface instead of dangling to touch the floor. What I also like about this footrest are the grips so that your feet don't slip and slide if you have shoes on. Third it matches the decor in my room - midcentury style with lighter food colors. Most importantly I like that it is adjustment, versus cheaper memory foam foot rests that you can't adjust the height. This footrest is also fun to rock with your feet during a meeting if you have a bit of a restless bouncing leg lie myself. It is expensive but for the quality you're getting it is worth it. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quality foot rest.

Makes desk work much more comfortable!
For years I used a large hardcover book, about the thickness of the NYC phone books of my youth, as a footrest. I did this to take the pressure off of the backs of my thighs, I suppose. The poor book was much the worse for wear, hard to move around, and clearly not the best solution. The reviews prompted me to splurge on this footrest. I am very glad I did. The platform moves up and down easily on the wheels , but only when you want it to, or when you shift your weight on it. It allows you to flex and bend your ankles. This allows you to stretch them slightly. (We're not talking yoga here--but your "dogs" can do a little upward- and downward stretch.) It's lightweight enough to push around with your feet if you want to move it further away or pull it closer. And finally, it is made of a sturdy piece of wood that sits--or really, rolls--on a steel frame and fits comfortably under the desk. It is easily vacuumed, unlike foam footrests. It has a certain simple elegance. Worth the money, especially if you spend a long time sitting--as you surely must, or you would not be reading this!

Just what I was looking for
This footrest is perfect if you are fidgety like me. The rollers allow the platform to roll and tilt front to back. I had to mess around with the height a bunch to dial in the right height because my chair also tilts back. The height is a friction knob on the side; when you loosen both knobs you need to lift the platform to the right height and lock it in by tightening. It was a little heavy and fiddly, but once I found the right height, it's very comfortable to rest my feet and even rock them front to back a little bit. The motion helps keep my blood moving and my fidgeting energy occupied if I'm stuck sitting for a while. I wish somewhat that it wasn't symmetrical in the tilt axis, there is a lot of wasted space in range of motion to tilt my feet forward that I'll probably never use for anything other than tilting my feet to fidget. It looks great, and the material is definitely as sturdy as the floor: up to the wear and tear of shoes and easy to clean.

Desde que lo tengo conmigo adiós el dolor de piernas e incluso la espalda. El mecanismo de ruedas me permite estirar los gemelos, lo cual es una maravilla. No entiendo por qué tardé tanto en comprarlo! 100% recomendado.
