Horsham Chrome

I picked this particular grinder due to the 'upside down' design and being fed of of finding little mounds of pepper everywhere with my normal grinder. The brand is one I have used before and there is an element of it being 'reassuringly expensive' which meant I picked it over all the other, much cheaper, alternatives.However, having received it and used it there are just too many issues to recommend it.First up, is that you need to fill it from the bottom. There is a nice easy to use screw cover on the bottom (which is good) but the curved design of the top means you can't put it down to be able to fill it (which is bad).Second is the connection between top and bottom is not solid in any way. The result of this is if you're not holding it exactly right it comes apart in you hands, showering your food with peppercorns. As the filling is at the bottom (as mentioned) there is no need for the middle to pop apart and so no reason it can't be more secure (or even glued).Lastly, it might be just my particular unit, but the coarseness selector seems to make no difference whatsoever. No matter which you go for you get a random mishmash of sizes of grind (including some pretty big bits).

I have been looking for a pepper/salt mill for sometimes. I bought a lot of them until I had dinner at M Restaurant. They had these mills and they were brilliant. You can adjust how thin you can mill your salt or pepper. They are very good. We have been using them for some time, and they have not let us down yet. I would recommend this product.

These are described on Amazon as having a 'chrome plated finish' which suggested to me that they were made of metal. So it was extremely disappointing to find that all those shiny 'metal' bits are actually plastic... it's chrome 'plated' (i.e., painted) plastic which just looks and feels rather cheap. Not what I expected considering the premium price. The clear bits are also plastic rather than glass, so the whole grinder feels a bit lightweight and insubstantial. From a distance they look rather nice, but that illusion is shattered the moment you pick them up.Also the pair I ordered were just sent loose in a box, with no packaging or bubble wrap to protect them in transit. Which meant that they arrived with scratches and marks all over the 'chrome plated' plastic. The fact that they were scuffed so easily suggests that they will not be all that durable with regular household use.I can't vouch for the mechanism as I'm sending them straight back for a refund, however the grinder does feel more robust than the outer shell. It's the only bit that's not made of plastic...

I have been using the pepper and salt grinder for over 6 months now. The salt one seems to be ok but the pepper grinder is already worn. The actual grinder is made of aluminium or similar metal and it doesn't last long at all (less than 6 months). Previously I had a cheap supermarket pepper grinder, which lasted me for over 2 years before I decided to change to this one. Honestly not worth the price at all. Very disappointed with this product.

Very happy with quality & functionality - albeit counter-intuitive to spin over to grind (but you get used to it). It’s all plastic of course but sturdy nonetheless. Good capacity & easy refill. Got settings on medium (too much choice) but you can bespoke so nice feature. Who would have thought a pepper grinder would have its own YouTube channel?

Stylish and attractive. Bought to compliment other copper grinders to house rainbow peppers but it does come with. Small quantity of black pepper

This a great salt mill. It looks good and works well and the best thing about it is no fall out of salt all over the place!
