Platinized anode, what's not to like?
It's a good size and shape, lots of surface area. Works well for me for Rhodium or Palladium.

Not platinum
This is not a platinum electrode. It has no reaction with hydrogen peroxide (platinum catalyzes the release of oxygen from h2o2 and visibly bubbles). Another giveaway is that it is magnetic. Neither titanium nor platinum are ferromagnetic. It appears to be plated and one could determine this by the small welding marks which bind the mesh to the strip. These weld marks are the same exact silvery color as the rest of the anode. If it is plated, it could be plated with Nickel which would explain some of the ferromagenticism. Otherwise, it would could contain some iron. Clearly a misleading listing. Save your time and buy an actual platinum plated anode. This isn't it.

High surface area but NOT platinized
I ran this to produce oxygen and hydrogen from a solution of baking soda. Anode appears to be plated with some other metal than platinum; it was magnetic so could be nickel or zinc. It completely rusted after I ran it at 3A for two weeks, which makes it as good of an anode as stainless steel wool (for many times the price). Should work fine as cathode with its high surface area.At the time of my buying, the seller promised 10 electrodes and gave only one.

You get what you pay for.
This is exactly what I expected for $8, but I had to try one for curiosity's sake. These are NOT suitable for chlorates, as is stated in the Q&A but contradicted on the label which states max 2V. You might be able to get away with using this as a cathode in a chlorate cell if your pH was perfect and started hot to avoid free chlorine, but not as an anode. Skip this junk unless you're making mystery oxide soup. But you knew all this already, right?

Scam item, scam seller
received only 1 platinized mesh(despite the title saying 2 at the time of order, now listed as 10!) not even really platinized. Stay away from this seller!

Counterfeit product
these are not platinum coated and also not even titanium. I'm getting ahold of the authorities about this one.
