I’m using these scratch pads for my kitty Jake ever since I got him five years ago. I’m having received this recently. I’m reminded of why I’ve always stood by the product as it is perfect no pun intended. The dual sided to come with catnip and a little toy stuffed with catnip and my Jake absolutely goes nuts For the scratch ability and the durability they provide get this for every cat owner. You know they will be so happy.

My fiance and I were getting very upset about all the cat scratching going on at our house. I couldn't count how many rugs we have went through. So when I found a rug I liked too much to let the cats destroy, I knew it was time find something else for them to annihilate. We also had a few couches, chairs, and love seats in the furniture graveyard. After recently buying brand new furniture, I was desperate to find something that actually worked. Enter this wonderful product! It felt like Christmas morning getting this in the mail.(Off topic: Thank you Amazon for your wonderful Prime program. I am what you might call... impatient, so 2 days worked for me.) I had placed so much hope in it helping us. After sprinkling the glorious cardboard with yummy catnip, it was ready to go. Now, to test out the goods. I have four very different cats, who were all very interested right away in this odd new object. It did not take them long to discover the purpose of it either. An hour later, they were still fighting over who got it scratch it. I couldn't believe I only bought 1! Three months later, I am happy to say that the only thing being scratched at my house is this scratchy box. Well, boxes, because I had to buy more! It has also become a favorite nap time spot for our Norwegian Forest Cat. He can be found there most days alternating between grooming his claws, to long satisfying catnaps. You really can't go wrong with this product. We have tried other scratch boxes that come up in the top results when you search here. But this one is by far their favorite. My cats really were not interested in the ones that incline, but you know... every cat is different. We highly recommend this. My rug still looks beautiful, and my cats are happy. For a very cheap price!

Saw some positive written and video reviews on this scratch box and decided to take the plunge. Overall it's a solid budget option particularly for new cat owners whom want to see their cat's preferences before making big purchases. The scratcher itself is decent, the cat I'm fostering is using it whenever it gets the urge to scratch which is more often than not. This is great as it means my furniture is saved. However the durability is so-so, I think this will depend on how often your cats get the impulse to use it as well as if you're able to clip their claws from time to time. However what helps this is the added bit of cat nip, which I've used for other purposes like attracting the cat to toys. Speaking of toys the little mouse toy that comes with this is awesome. My foster cat loves to bat it around and keep herself entertained with it. I suppose it stimulates her hunter instincts. Oh before I forget to mention the scratcher has two sides so when one is worn down you can flip it to get more use out of it. All-in-all very good buy with all included items particularly if you can get this around 10$ or less.

This purchase was totally for my own enjoyment, but Willie Mae likes it, too. Fat Cat are my absolute favorite cat products. They're fun and colorful, as well as durable and easy to assemble, and this board comes with a bag of catnip. And always reasonably priced. Let's be honest, cat scratch boards are not attractive. But this one is!! Once again, Fat Cat products rule in our house and guarantees a happy kitty.

is a real winner with the cats. This item is a big hit on a number of levels. The kitties love to sit on it, scratch on it, and sleep on it. It came with an extra package of cat nip and a cute fabric cat nip toy. A great plus is the fact that you can reverse the cardboard insert so it's got a built-in refill. It is wider than most cardboard scratchers, providing a great scratching or sleeping area for larger cats. It came packaged very well, with the toy and extra catnip package attached. There was NO glue left on the board where the paper face description had been attached. The only thing that I did not like and addressed right away before presenting it to my cats were the little yarn tassles attached to the corners of the box. They are designed and described as entertainment features for kitty but can be quite dangerous if torn away from the product and swallowed. Better safe than sorry and removing them does not detract from the product; it simply makes it safer!!! The product is, of course, light-weight; forceful scratching can move it around, which seemed to frustrate kitty a bit. It DOES NOT replace a good scratching post, but is a great item, nonetheless and the cats really enjoy it.

Update 7/9/17: This is now the 3rd one I've purchased and don't even think of getting another brand. Similar sizes at several pet stores are either not reversible or are several dollars more for just a scratcher. No toys, catnip or tassels. My cat (Milo) is obsessed with these. He's always scratching or sleeping on it. Love that it's a double sided scratcher so he gets twice as much use out of it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ My cat usually doesn't get too excited when he gets new toys or new scratchers, but this time was different. He lost his little mind! He usually goes and sniffs them and scratches them. He did that this time as well, but he was so into it that he was pushing it all over my living room. Before I even put the scratcher down, he was going nuts with the toy. He can be very picky with toys so I normally stick to mice toys and ball toys with bells inside, but this one he loved. It must have been because of the catnip in it or something. He was playing so much it was drenched! I couldn't be happier with the scratcher. The one I purchased before this one had cardboard on one side and carpet on the other. The cardboard we all know doesn't last forever but seems to be a favorite among most cats, the carpet isn't bad and doesn't make a mess, but gets pulled off the scratcher. So I figured I might as well go back to cardboard only, and I'm glad I did. I usually have to replace them every few months depending on how much he scratches and how often I cut his nails, but I will FOR SURE be getting these again. The catnip, toy, and tassels are a nice bonus. He has such a large collection of catnip. These are great, and the shipping was super fast as usual (Prime 2-day shipping). Overall, very happy with this and so was Milo!

This is a high quality scratch pad but it's become so expensive I can't buy this brand anymore. Still, if this is your first foray into scratch pads, buy this one. It's top of the line. There is no better cardboard scratch pad. Then if you try other brands you'll know where they fall short (are they reversible? Some brands glue the scratch pad to the bottom of the tray so you can't flip it over. preventing you from getting double use out of it. Some use flimsy, corrugated cardboard that falls apart in days. Some are so small in height, you can't flip them over. Some are shorter than their are descriptions and you only find that out by reading the reviews.) Big Mamas is the best.

The corrugated scratchers that I've used for years, I'm no longer able to purchase refills for, so I had to look for suitable STURDY replacements. These are the ones! They're big enough to stay put when the cats scratch vigorously, which IS what you want them to do, right? The catnip is a little on the fine side for my taste, but what do I know, I'm just a people? Every couple of days, I turn the thing upside down over the trash, dump out the old catnip, and put a pinch onto Big Mama as part of our bedtime ritual. It also comes with the cutest little stuffed kitty toy, also a hit with two cats. The other is a male Burmese, and is far to dignified to play with such immature kitty toys, lol. I have a new adopted cat that was previously adopted, then dumped out at a vet's office about a year and a half ago; terribly traumatized, so I'm having to "show" her almost everything. She lived under the bed in the spare room for three weeks, and this was the first thing that she "loved." All three of my cats, including the new rescue, lie completely on top of Big Mama, which is new behavior, as the old scratchers were much narrower. I will never purchase a different scratcher other than this one. Remember that when the cardboard becomes worn, don't toss it yet! TURN IT OVER, and it's like brand new!
