Connecting Comprehension and Technology: Adapt and Extend Toolkit Practices Spi Pap/Dv Edition

The organization by comprehension strategies was helpful, but it is an extension for The Comprehension Toolkit that our school does not possess. Thankfully, the suggestions could be useful since the strategies are common knowledge for reading instruction. Lessons and videos from primary and intermediate classrooms make the concepts easy to understand and therefore adaptable depending on the technology in place.The lessons are in classrooms that are 1:1 primarily using iPads. Our school is not 1:1 and the iPads we do have are on a cart for many applications school wide. If viewed through tasks as they apply to comprehension, teachers would be able to apply the suggestions throughout this book using the tools that are available in their classrooms or alternate tools discussed in the Follow Up sections, so that they can adapt and implement digital components into their literacy instruction.

Looks like a great tool for any teacher trying to incorporate technology into any subject K-6. Fabulous resource for all teachers to use, especially technology teachers using the tools they know with subjects they might struggle with. Fabulous find for me! I love this new tool for my technology teaching belt!

What a fantastic resource! This paired with Kristin's work in Amplify has given our staff so many amazing ideas to implement in our school to promote student thinking!

I love the practical applications detailed in the book... especially the video examples of the work in action! We will soon be doing a professional development with primary teachers at two of our campuses. This book will provide the foundation for the group's work.

Wonderful resource to supplement the Comprehension Connections texts. Separated into primary and intermediate grade levels to help teachers use technology effectively.
