if you think you'll be able to follow instructions and complete one whole project from the beginning to the end, look elsewhere. Minimal instructions, partial photo, unfinished projects, more like sketches than drawings. Not very realistic either.

I feel that this book helps the aspiring artist to understand proportions of the horse. I have improved due to the steps that are given to you as you sketch in a short time.

Just what I wanted for my granddaughter who loves horses, but when drawing them seemed to not be able to incorporate the jawline, movement of the legs, turn of the head, etc. This author shows this in very simple illustrations and words. She is now on the right track for drawing a good horse with action. Thanks.

This is an overly basic book that uses to much of the already sparse text to remind the reader to practice. The book is 31 pages long and while it is oversized there is minimal text on each page. It probably averages 3 paragraphs per page with maybe 3 sentences per page. As such, there is very little content. It does have some minimal information on anatomy and even less about drawing but nothing that you cannot find from an Internet search which will provide better information for free.

I went to a workshop with V. Vaughan who said there was no better reference for drawing horses. She is right. Great book.

The detailed drawings are perfect for a beginner to intermediate drawer! Maybe not as detailed for an advanced artist but a great buy.

I bought this book thinking it was a step by step book, but alas the content is not want I wanted, the drawings are really dull and nothing seems to grab ones attention, poor I thought..

I bought this for my niece as she is mad on horses and was trying to draw them freehand. I am sure this book is going to help her as it breaks down how to create the drawing step by step.
