Very sturdy. The OG of steppers and great too for laying on it to do weight training if you don’t want to lay on the floor. Non slip. It is long since it’s the original. Hard to find a place to store the whole thing. It can work as a place to put potted plants that’s easily wipeable.

I did step cardio exercises back in the day when it was popular for many years. This step is identical to the steps supplied at the gyms where I attended. It's heavy duty, solid and sturdy. It does not slip on my wood floor at home. The risers are just as solid and same as the gyms. I love, love, love it! It was the lowest priced step I could find after watching for approximately 3 months. I totally recommend it! Happy stepping!

I love everything about this aerobic platform! I love the fact that it's so sturdy. I never feel unsafe when I'm using it, and I think it'll last for years and years, if not decades. I love the fact that I can change the height so easily. It makes the platform more versatile. (Right now, I'm just beginning step aerobics again after a knee injury, and I have it at its lowest height, which is pretty low. In a week or two, I'll be adding height to the platform, and that's so easy to do.) I love the fact that I can store it so easily. When I'm not injured, I usually store it in my bedroom closet because, with a platform bed, I can't store it under the bed. There is no "under the bed" space. Right now, though, due to my injury, I'm sleeping on a futon on the ground floor on my home, and I store this between two bookcases. It's out of the way, and it won't fall. It's so easy to slide out every morning and every evening when I do my stepping. I love the fact that the surface is non-skid, especially since I'm recovering from an injury. I really love the fact that I'm gaining strength and mobility, as well as cardiopulmonary fitness, with every workout. If you've done step aerobics before, you know how great a workout it can be. If you haven't done step aerobics, please know it's an exercise that strengthens your legs, helps your balance, and gives you a good aerobic workout as well. If you're just beginning exercise, however, take it slow. You'll see more progress if you build slowly but steadily. Consistency is the key. And if you have a medical condition, be sure to check with your doctor first. I think this is the best aerobic platform I could have purchased. I love it, and I expect to gain a lot of strength and mobility from it very quickly. It's been a real blessing for me.

I purchased this since it was used in the Kim Kardashian workout videos I purchased. This is my first step and it looks like the same one used in the video. So far I'm pretty pleased with it. It seems to be good quality with lots of thought put into how the product is used- yes a step seems very simple, but this one does have some nice details. I like that I can have 3 different heights to vary my workout. Also, it's clear safety was considered, I have carpeted floors and it does not budge! Even trying to scoot it across after I'm done working out doesn't work! haha. You have to actually pick it up and move it. Also, the top grip surface helps a lot. The last thing you want to do is hurt yourself when you're trying to get in shape by using some cheap equipment. It was a bit pricey, but I managed to get a used one on here that wasn't so bad, but it still seems worth it. The only negatives I can think of- the risers do not really "click" in- the step just sits on top of them. It's annoying when going to move it or flip it over because they do not stay on. Doesn't affect the use of the product, because it's still very stable, even when jumping around on it. More of an annoyance than anything. Also, if you are doing pushups or something the grips on the top really dig into my hands and it's too uncomfortable to use that way. I may have to try someone's suggestion to put a towel over for that or Kim wore little gloves in her tape. But again, it keeps it safe when you're stepping. Overall, I would purchase again and it's definitely a must for some workouts. I definitely think the pros outweigh the cons. I'd rather spend a little more and get a better quality product than skimp and risk safety or have something that seems like it will break.

SOLID!! Also a bit bigger than others, but I have zero concerns about this breaking down like some others do that are cheaper. I bought another step about the same time as this that was half as expensive...it was also about half the size, and made in China, so I didn't even open the box once I saw how well this one was made. I also got the square version of this so I could get this up to the full 12" so I can use it for YMCA step test for fitness evaluations with clients. I could have just bought the extra risers, but they are smaller sized and the money was the same to just get the 12" square step that has 4 risers itself. It is solid as a rock and no wiggle with 4 risers under each side. Side note: I sent first one back because adhesive on top was not applied well and had air bubbles below it, but second one was fine and the tread has great traction.

The step is very sturdy. There’s no slipping with the platforms or the risers. It’s a good size for step classes. I do recommend this product.
