Not for the rebel 500 without a lot of work
Not for the rebel 500 without some serious knowledge and mechanical ability. The engine mount is different on the rebel 500 and if you use the supplied threaded rod you’re weakening the mount. There are two bolts which hold the engine mount to the frame and by removing one of them to put this rod through, you never get the clamping force for the engine mount plate. Also your horn won’t have anything to mount to.Instead go out and buy two grade 8 bolts about 1/2” longer than the stock bolts in order to accommodate the crash bar mount thickness and accompanying flange nuts.Next problem? The rebel 500 engine is much wider than the rebel 300, meaning those sandwich plates at the top of the bars have absolutely NO clearance thanks to the Valve cover. The solution? Before you bolt the bottom of the bars on, you have to slide everything up out of the way of the cylinder head and tighten the INSIDE bolts up while leaving the outside bolts at their loosest. Then carefully with a rubber mallet tap everything downward to where you can align the cross bar and put the bottom mounting bolts in (which you bought, instead of the supplied long threaded rod). Then assemble and tighten the OUTER bolts on the upper assembly. It’s hard... you need to know what you’re doing and be patient in order to mount these to the rebel 500.

Decent engine guard for a rebel 300
Can’t speak to the issues I see Rebel 500 owners writing about, but for a Rebel 300 these fit nicely. No instructions included, but not too hard to figure out. Do have a rubber mallet on hand to get the stock bolt out of the frame, and know that you’ll have to jiggle and finesse the provided replacement bar back through again. Both are easier with the bike level than on the stand. Also be aware that these won’t likely do much to protect the foot controls. Engine guard only.

Fairly easy to install but should have instructions included
Box arrived. Everything inside was well packed and wrapped for shipping. No instructions included.Unwrapped everything, zoomed in and studied the pictures on Amazon and figured it out. There are many things that really should be placed in instructions such as "you will need a rubber faced mallet to remove the factory engine mount bolt by lightly taping the provided threaded rod pushing the engine mount bolt out."Stuff like that. The cross bar in front has a gap in it that can't be closed up through adjustment. It's not too big of a deal but should fit a little better.

2020 rebel 500
Good product, no instructions but easy enough to install.Would recommend not using the bar they give you and getting some Grade 8 bolts instead that are longer than OEM.

Not 500 friendly
This does not fit the 500 I’m sure more than fine on the 300 no clearance on the right side to tighten clamps and unfortunately I waited too long probably can’t return 300 single cylinder equals more room I’m sure will fit just fine

Bars are great but have to buy your own hardware to make it work.
The bars themselves are nice and for the bike well. No instructions and the supplied bar with nuts to replace the factory engine bolts does not work because the horn bracket would no longer be bolted down. Had to buy longer than factory bolts to make this work.

A little disappointed
Received the guards and attempted to attach to my Rebel 500. However I am missing 1 set of sandwich plate/brackets and cannot find a way to contact seller to resolve the problem. Alternatively will be looking for similar components at local small engine/bike shop or hardware store.
