Well made. The lock part is a bit too thick for my window but enough fits in to "lock" the window. I did use my original screws as the included ones were too long. Happy with the product as a replacement for my old aluminum sliding window's lock. Probably buy more for the other windows in the house soon.

I just had inspection done to my house, and was told by the inspector that two windows were inoperable. I was super scared that I had to replace the windows that I started looking on YouTube for help. The link to these locks were provided. I received both pieces in the mail, and it was super easy to install. Both windows lock and saved me money!

The Prime-Line F 2590 Sash Lock was a perfect replacement for the latch that came with my home's vertical sliding windows. One of the original latches was bent, and threatening to shear away, and this latch worked perfectly. The dimensions were exactly as described, it fit so exact that you wouldn't know it was a replacement, and it even latches better than before. The window closed and latched securely. It is a nice value for the money, and I would definitely buy it again.

Got these hoping to fix a Harvey window that couldn't be locked anymore. What's weird about this product is it only comes with the latch, not the receiver part, but we used the old existing one. Not good for a new build though, since you need the receiver. It does let us lock the window, barely, but guess that's better than what it was.

This was one of my most hardest luck/ matches to find, as in in a very old home and a few of the small windows use this. Works great, although, make certain you get the right size fit. Price was more than fair.

This replacement sash lock was as good as the original. Easy to replace.

A direct-fit replacement for SUNAIR Aluminum Products latches. TIP: clean your tracks and shut your windows firmly before locking and you'll have less problems with broken latches. Note: there is no "right and left" latch for these windows; simply invert the latch as needed. Our home came with SUNAIR latches - all opened left except one - when I removed the broken original latches the sole window which slid to the right had the same latch as all our left-sliding windows. All the SUNAIR latches in our new home broke within the first 6 months - the building stores were still stocking SUNAIR, but why would I buy them again? So we limped along with 1/2" PVC pipe wedged into the tracks (bottom AND top) for the last 20 years. These latches are marginally stronger than the originals, but the flaw is not with the latches, rather it's the way the latches interact with the window frames. I gave these 5 stars because they fill my need and were inexpensive - they were exactly what I expected when I purchased them. The only way to get a better latch on windows originally equipped with this style latch would be to completely re-engineer your windows with 2-piece latches and hope your refitted latches covered the original holes in the frames. Go with these for economy and function. Don't force them - slam the window and they'll latch easier without breaking off in your hands.

The dimensions listed are accurate, however I found that the shape of the latch is too angular to rotate into the groove properly and it ends up binding before its fully seated. To fix this, I had to grind some metal away to shape a more defined curve. The red line in my picture shows the curve where I removed metal. After this minor modification the latch works perfectly. It's equal quality to the original.

Amazon to the rescue for home repair. This was the perfect replacement for my window lock.

It fits my window. Easy to install and good quality. Make sure you measure your old lock before you buy it.
