I read several reviews before I purchased. The 579 version, as noted in an earlier review... The lower end Type C power input is just a tiny bit too far inside the Linkup and thus does not fully seat; however, I have an adapter that is longer and it seats fully and doesn't come out on it's own. Everything else is perfect for my use. The HD gives a clear, sharp video output. The 2 USB A ports are fast and I use them for my backup drives, radio programming cables, DVD/RW external drive, etc. All work perfectly. as does the USB Type C port for data.This unit is perfect for MY needs. Small, quick and easy to put on and remove and very useful.

Alas, all I can say about this item is that it was not for me and that it was made for the Surface "Go!" which is not my model. I am hanging on to it to use via one of the many ports that it has.Regarding attention from the vendor: They were quite attentive & available for feedback when needed.

I just received my LinkUP dock and it works great! Very easy to install (attaches to SurfaceGo in seconds). I attached the HDMI cable to my external monitor and I was up & running (attached my external mouse & keyboard as well).I was concerned if the LinkUp would allow me to still power my SurfaceGo using my tablet's power adapter. There is no problem using the power adapter. The LinkUp only cover the USB-C connection so it leaves plenty of room to make the power connection.I think this product is great. It's compact, attaches to the side of the tablet and comes well packaged. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a SurfaceGo.

There are a LOT of these options available. This unit does fit my surface go.Pros:-Inexpensive-fits Surface Go securely-Does read my sd card from camera and allows me to plug in a mouse and a hard driveCons/My issues:1. Wont fit once I installed screen protector. Well, it does fit but pushes up the screen protector because its a tight fit.2. Main reason for giving it 3 stars. The USB-C power port is sloppy. It wont hold a USB-C cable at all. Cable falls right out.

This unit is not connecting all the ports but the seller is making it right.

The other reviews about the charging port are correct. The port is recessed and even if your charger is long, it pushes back up inside after about 10 uses. It worked for me about a month.

Plugged into mini usb port and hooked up HDMI monitor, Mouse, Keyboard and a USB memory stick. All worked perfectly to finish final adjustments on a little project. Much more affordable than buying an entire docking station to perform the same tasks.

With so many options out there, I wanted one with an ethernet port (for the times I travel to places w/out wi-fi) and an HDMI port. This thing is wicked light and even allows me to charge my surface go while connected.

It's a bit of a tight fit and do best in mind that it knocked out the headphone socket, just in case that's important to you, but otherwise a pretty good product.
